You were just a face in the crowd,
He sighed, staring at the rafters which were visible from this position on his cot. He was incredibly bored. And he hardly knew anyone, who was awake anyway. So asking them to do some stupid stunt with him was ridiculous, especially if there was a risk of being caught after hours. This usually didn't happen with him, he didn't often feel the need to rebel, or sneak around the camp after dark. But he was just so fidgety. He needed to do something. He was at his wits end and there was nobody there to help him control it in a normal, rational way.
Which meant he was going to be and idiot and do something incredibly stupid. Looking up at the clock he was met with the time, half past twelve. Shrugging into his jeans with little grace, he managed to half hop out the door, closing it softly behind him. He had a vague idea of what he wanted to do. And of course if he got caught, well, that wouldn't be fun. He felt the nights air hit him and cursed himself for not bringing a shirt, wishing he wasn't such an idiot.
But he wasn't about to walk back in there and risk waking someone up, so he rolled his eyes, walking silently in the grass, hearing his breath and the soft crunching of grass under his feet. He stopped at the door of the kitchens. You may be wondering why the hell he was here, but it wasn't exactly for a midnight snack. He tried the knob, which was, of course, locked. Which called for what he had shoved deep into his pocket, shoving his hand in, he felt his fingers wrap around something metallic.
Grinning, he bent the paper clip so it was in a straight line, shoving it into the lock to try and unlock it. He came close three times, and it took a whole ten minuets to succeed, but he finally got the goddamn thing to open. Resisting the urge to kick at the heavy door, he walked in, moving past the main refrigerator all the way back to a little office. He tried the handle, and found with relief that it was open, he didn't want to spend another ten minuets finagling with a paper clip. Moving inside he yanked open a small refrigerator, peering in he found what he was looking for.
"Excellent." He murmured out, wrapping fingers around the cardboard handle of the six pack. How he knew where the counselors kept their alcohol, he didn't disclose. Peering at the label in the dim light bulb of the refrigerator he made out the words amstel, not his favorite, but it would do. Shutting the door, he walked out of the office, making sure the main door was safely locked before tramping out into the cold air, biting at his chest which made him shiver unintentionally.
And then he started on his little hike, way up to redwood peak. Yeah, not all that smart - but wasn't that the point? It wasn't exactly the best place to get drunk, the chances of getting your eye impaled by a sharp rock was very high, but Ollie didn't really care, moving through the thick underbrush, the six pack held safely in his fist he wove around large pines, dodging small animal holes as he went. Moving along the path, he sighed out. He really hated hiking, it was meaningless. But he really wanted to get the whole danger high thing, so he trekked on.
Coming to a halt he found himself at an odd angle on a rocky slope. Shrugging to himself, he made his way over to a large boulder, hopping onto it, before winding his legs together so that he sat cross legged. Eyes scanned the area, and he made out the husky figure of the moon. He wasn't stricken by it, Grabbing a bottle, he snapped open the top, throwing his head back to take a sip, tasting the bitter substance traveling down his throat.
So he wasn't a big fan of beer, but at least he got tipsy pretty fast when he drank it. And that was what he wanted to accomplish. Sighing out, he laid an arm across his stomach, shaking his head briefly as if to clear it from thoughts of sleep. Bringing the glass of amber liquid to his lips again, he noted with bemusement that it was already half gone. Biting at his lip, he realized this wasn't helping much. Sure, he was groggy - but he wasn't exactly having fun.
Though apparently the way back down would be an adventure, being drunk and hiking down a trail with sharp rocks was sure to make you injured in some way shape or form, so at least he had some sort of adrenaline rush to look forward to. Rolling the bottle between him palms, he felt the icy chill of the wind once more as it ruffled his hair back and played against his bare skin.
Maybe it was a stupid idea to come out here.

Just another Night Like all The others Caleb laid in his bed laughing. Him and a group of his budies had been up since 9pm chilling out and drinking. There was no need for them to steal the beer considering they had all brought their own, which by some miracle, they snuck in. The whole cabin was jsut sitting around drinking. What else was there to do and midnight anyway. Who knows how many beers Caleb had, two, three, four. He lost count. But he did no that he was pretty wasted.
He moved his hair from his eyes as his friend laughed and toppled over off the bed, causing everyone to laugh. when this cabin was drunk, everythign was funny, someone could kill themselves adn they would laugh. Caleb took another sip of his beer and looked around. this place was getting boring, he needed something to do. "i'll be back guys, cover for me" He sai, his words slurring a bit. He slowly rolled off the bed. His friends groaned, which was an indication that they didn't want him leaving. What would they really care, they would all pass out in half an hour tops.
He pulled on his spongebob shirt. the only one he could seem to find, everything looked kind of blurry. Wow was he drunk. He pulled it on and buttoned his pants, why his pants weren't buttoned were beyond him. He shook his hair out and made his was out of the cabin, a little tipsy I might add. He looked around the dark camp. Everyone was sleeping. Where to go?
He kept walking, loosing his balence every few steps. Reid? Nah he was sleeping, mister goodie two shoes. He chuckled looking away from the cabin and kept walking. He had his beer with him so he stopped for a second in order to take a sip then kept walking. He wasn't sure how long he had been walking but some how he was making his way up to the Redwood Peak.
He stumbled over rocks and stepped in holes. Dirt covered his shirt and pants, which he attempted to brush off but eventually forgot about it. He kept walking until he was at the top. Wow, why the hell had he come here? He shrugged and walked over to where he could have sworn he saw someone, but it might have been the drunkness. He kept walking until he was sure he could see a bare chested guy sitting on a rock. Oh wow, boy was cute. Stepping a bit closer he could regonize the boy as Oliver, a kid from around the camp. Wasn't the best of friends with him but they talked.
He chuckled and leaned on the bolder, his hands placed on the cold rock. He leaned near Oliver. "Hey Ollie" Hehe, he called people weird names when he was drunk. The rock was the only thing keeping him from falling over. He bit his lip lightly and jsut looked at the boy, god was he cute.

You were just a face in the crowd,
He had since then consumed four of the beers. The glass bottles were littered around the boulder as proof. A hand reached up to rake raggedly through his hair as he sighed out. Looking back at the moon, he could now make out two blurred spheres. Shaking his head warily, he looked back up and was met with the same picture. Turning his head to look down the path, he was met with a multitude of obstacles that seemed to bar him in. Eyes squinted in futile as he tried to make out the real rocks from the double visions. Yeah, it was definitely stupid to come up here, but that thought had o sooner popped into his head that it left, leaving him to debate what to do.
His head spun rapidly as he sat up, zoning out a bit as he tried to come to his senses. Then he heard shuffling, down the path a bit. He tipped his head to the side, making himself even more dizzy, and wondered vaguely what was there. Maybe someone had been stupid to come up this trail in the dead of night like him, for some reason he chuckled at the thought. Or maybe it was a wild animal, there were stories about bears. He remembered they were dangerous, but couldn't for the life of him remember why. And then a body fell through, he looked at them hard, hoping they weren't a tipped off counselor, but then he paired name with face and recognized the boy to be...Caleb, yes, that was it.
Caleb scanned the area as if looking for something, and then he seemed to spot Ollie, who watched him walk forward, his steps seemed oddly shaky. He wondered why exactly that was, but then he was leaning against his rock and speaking out his name, where he easily smelled the alcohol lacing his breath. Still having the bear traveling through his mind in an odd circle he murmured out, "rawr." After he spoke he realized that it wasn't a bear, he had, after all, recognized him to be Caleb.
Laughing at something seemingly only funny to him, he shook his head back and forth, letting blond hair flop into his eyes and cloud his vision. "Hey...Caleb." He said his words slowly, as if to choose the correct words. Nodding lightly he peered at the boy who was leaning against the rock as if he would fall over. Narrowing his eyes in concentration he spoke once more, "You okay, if your gonna fall over you can sit here, If you get a concussion I'm not carrying your ass back to camp." He told him decidedly, after all, it would be a miracle if he made it down in one piece himself, let alone if he carried someone else.
Pointing the the ledge of the rock, he punted a glass bottle towards a tree, which it thumped against noisily before falling to the ground. Cracked pieces littered the floor and the moon reflected off them with an iridescent light, "woah...shiny." He mused to himself before gaze shifted back to the boy in front of him, "Well?" He questioned further, one eyebrow rose in an almost calculating way as half his mouth pulled up and into a lopsided grin.

Walking up to the peak had been on bitch of a time. Caleb lost count on how many times he had fallen. But the coat of dirt on his shirt told him a lot. His feet were hurting, it felt like it had taken him forever to get up here. Not even knowing why had come here. He took one last long sip of his beer, and then it was gone. He looked at the can and then chucked it in the woods. He didn't like littering, but he could care less at this momnt.
The only good thing about coming up on the peak was that he found Oliver, one of the cutest boys he had ever known. Next to Reid of course. But right now his common snese was shot, and he knew perfectly well Oliver was stright, though he could seriosuly care less right now. Caleb also really liked Reid, so why would he flirt with a straight boy? When caelb himself already liked another guy? Because he was drunk thats why. Caleb was extremely stupid when he was drunk.
He was leaning behind Oliver on the rock. His face very close to Olivers ear, as he spoke to him. The boy turned around and looked at him. Caleb smiled at the reaction he got, "rawr." He chuckled a bit. How that was funny he wasn't sure. "Well, Rawr back at you luv" He said biting his lip lightly, as he did out of habit, especially around people. Oliver smelled of Beer, he must have been drinking too. Which meant the boy had the same idea Caleb had when he came up here, no idea whats so ever. Though he couldn't tell how drunk Oliver was just yet.
"You okay, if your gonna fall over you can sit here, If you get a concussion I'm not carrying your ass back to camp." Caleb laned off the rock and walked in front of Oliver. He shook his head. "Nah Im....Fine" He had to manage the word. He leaned over again so one of his hands were on eithier side of Oliver. He smiled softly looking over to bare chested boy. He felt slightly stupid for what he will end up doing, which is flirting with the boy. But the beer helped him get over that. "I'm glad to know that if I passed out you would leave me here to freeze to death" He said with a laugh. Truth is, he would probably leave Oliver too. No way would he be able to carry Oliver down the hill without killing them both.
"woah...shiny." That made Caleb start cracking up. He looked at the glass Oliver said was 'shiny' and laughed again. He held onto the rock tightly in order to not fall over, he was perfectly ok with standing, though it was a bit difficult. "Well?" Caleb moved his eyes to Oliver's once again. Tilting his head a bit. " Well What?" He asked, biting the inside of his lip lightly, as to not mak it to noticable.

You were just a face in the crowd,
As Caleb spoke back to him, he scrunched up his brow before saying, "Sorry, thought you were a bear." Well, that wasn't exactly true and it came out wrong, but he didn't care enough to correct himself at this point in time. As he answered his earlier statement, Ollie shrugged, watched as Caleb's hands were places on either side of him, raising a brow slightly, he faintly realized there was something weird about this, but he couldn't think of what it was at the moment, so he let the nagging thought slide from his mind and let the boys hands remain there.
He grinned slightly as he spoke again, shrugging he said, "Well, you know, every man for himself...or whatever." The statement was finished lamely as he didn't know if that was an actual statement or something he made up and had no sense about. Speaking up about the glass, he heard Caleb laugh out, turning his head around and also half falling from the sudden movement he ended up alarmingly close to Caleb's face.
Backing up slightly, so they were a good couple inches apart he asked, "what?" Wondering if he missed out on a joke of some kind. Or maybe it was just him acting stupid again. He wasn't sure which it was but watched curiously as Caleb continued to laugh. In his new found position on the rock, Ollie was now half sliding off, digging the tips of his sneakers into a shallow hollow so he wouldn't go tumbling down on top on Caleb. Eyes turning to peer at the alarmingly close position of Caleb's hand to his leg.
Again, the nagging worry came back, but he still couldn't remember what it was, so he brushed it away again, and just sat there trying not to fall. After all, he didn't want to give Caleb a concussion. As he asked what he was talking about, Ollie scrunched up his eyes, tilting his head as he thought, teeth catching at his bottom lip as he did so. Finally he ended up shrugging and replied, "I have no idea" which was paired with a laugh.
Shifting again so he was sliding even closer to the edge of the rock he spoke, "uh, dude, back up, I'm slipping and if you don't move I'm gonna fall on you." Eyes tried to focus on the ground as he calculated how far down he jump was, though his vision was blurred and he couldn't tell which part of the ground was level and which was sloped. Hands traced down the surface of the boulder as he trained his eyes on the ground.
Tugging his foot out of the hole, He lifted it carefully to place it on the rocks ledge beside him, hands gripping at the uneven grooves he tugged out his other leg. He figured he should just hop down, tat would probably be the safest bet, rather than flinging himself ten yards away to the place which he thought seemed really level. So he dropped his hold on the rock and began to slide forward. As he was in the midst of falling, he remembered that he wasn't sure if Caleb had moved or not, well, he hoped he had anyway.

Man this was all so awkward, but Caleb had no sense right now, so it seemed perfectly fine. "Sorry, thought you were a bear." Caleb smiled. "Yes, because I am so very bear like" He said with a small chuckle. He looked around, there were bears up here? How cool would that be if he saw one. Being drunk, Caleb would probably go up to the bear and have his arms ripped up. Again, no common sense.
"Well, you know, every man for himself...or whatever." Caleb nodded. " Yeah true...I would leave your ass up here too if anything happened" He said with a smile. His hands rubbed against the rock, making his palms hot. A sudden rush went to his head and he closed his eyes for a second, in order not to puke. Eventually he opened his eyes and looked back to Oliver, with half a smile. "I have no idea" wow, smooth, not remembering what he was going to say. Caleb laughed again, he seemed to do that a lot when he was drunk. He didn't say anything though.
"uh, dude, back up, I'm slipping and if you don't move I'm gonna fall on you." Caleb had no intention to back up actually. It was way more fun to be close to Oliver, he knew coming onto a straight guy was like trying to convince a hockey player that the puck is chocolate. But being drunk, he could really care less. "Well then don't slip" He said. That was deifnatly a drunk moment, he knew Oliver couldn't control the slipping, but he didn't think of that right away.
It was quiet for a minute, you could here the crickets, and some other animal, not sure what it was. Caleb was jsut hoping it stayed away from him. Oliver started moving and Caleb was trying to figure out what he was doing. But by the time he figured it out, Oliver was already slipping off the rock towards him. dude, if Caleb even attempted to move he would fall over, pass out or both. " Ollie I can't-" He didn't have a chance to finish his sentence. He was going to warn Oliver that he really couldn't move, considering he couldn't feel his legs. But it was to late. Oliver slid down the rock and into Caleb.
"Whoa!" He said, he was loosing his balence. He rather not have to fall to the ground with Oliver landing on him. In a more fun senerio, sure, not now. He lost grip of the rock and wasn't sure what to grab. He grabbed Oliver's waist but that didn't help considering he was coming down with him. He dropped to the ground, Oliver landing on him. "Oww" He said feeling pain in his back eithier just from the fall or a rock, couldn't figure out which. "I was trying to say I couldn't really move. My legs are like jello at this moment" He said with a small smile, looking up at the boy who was lying on him. Caleb didn't hate this, but Oliver probably did.

You were just a face in the crowd,
As he commented about how he was a bear, Ollie tilted his head to the side before shaking it and saying, "no, not really." Unbeknown to the fact that he pretty much had called him a bear earlier. Rolling his eyes at the boys next comment he let out a small chuckle, "of course you would." he said, shrugging. As he felt is body weight sifting under him, he heard Caleb's voice telling him not to slip. How very helpful that was. "Caleb...I can't exactly do that right now."
As he felt himself slide forward even further. As he dropped himself from the rock he heard Caleb's voice a second too late, though his sentence was cut off...by Ollie falling on top of him. He felt a light pressure at the base of his jeans and looked down to see Caleb's fingers wrapped around him. He seemed to think that was particularly odd for a moment, but then he fell to the ground, and that particular thought was jarred from his head.
His chest was pressed up against his, and he shook out his head. Apparently jumping from the large boulder wasn't the best plan. "Oh...sorry about that then." He said, trying to will himself to move though by this time his head was spinning rapidly and the trees were rippling. Pressing his eyes shut he tried to clear his head, but when he opened them again, everything as still spinning. "Woah...really, really dizzy.'
Of course, at this time Ollie's hands were pressed into the dirt on either side of Caleb's face, he felt the hard pebbles lodged into the skin of his palm, and he tried to move his leg, only to find it bumping into Caleb's. Okay, so that odd thought was back, if only he could remember what the hell it was. Pushing himself up on his knees he felt his head spin before he fell over once more, half splayed across Caleb as he laughed at the situation. Even if it wasn't funny.
Rolling over again so he was now lying next to him he muttered out a, "Sorry again, can I help you or anything?" There really wasn't much to do besides help him stand up, but he thought of offering anyway. Besides, there was no way in hell he was standing up any time soon. Dragging a leg up so his knee was bent, he sighed out, bringing an arm forward to brush the now dirt covered hair out of his eyes, before letting his arm flop back next to him, connecting with Caleb's, though he didn't make a movement to remove it, he didn't really see a point to it at the moment, besides, he didn't think he had could if he wanted to.
Eyes shifted to look at Caleb and he groaned, "How the fuck are we gonna get back to camp?" He wondered aloud, thinking it might be worth it to just sleep up there, even if they did get caught. But then again, it was obvious that they'd been drinking, Ollie's beer bottles were scattered around as proof. Speaking aloud his thoughts again he murmured, "It might be easier to sleep up here than walk down that trail...thing." He spoke out, feeling Caleb's skin under his own hand. He wasn't sure why, but he didn't move it, nor could he place that nagging thought that still rang in his ears.

Caleb heard Oliver say he wasn't like a bear. Aw, Ollie didn't think he was like a bear. This own thought made him laugh a bit. "Caleb...I can't exactly do that right now." He said as Oliver was slipping. Well obviously he couldn't. You can't control your slipping, Caleb was jsut being an idiot.
"Oh...sorry about that then." He heard Oliver say from on top of him. Their bodies were pressed on eachothers and it wasn't helping the pain that was shooting through his body. Any other time he would love this moment, but right now it kind of sucked. " I-It's all right. Im just going to have back problems for the rest of my life" He said with a laugh, it had been a joke. "Woah...really, really dizzy.' Caleb looked up at Oliver, one of them was dizzy the other was sore, wow. Caleb had to fight of the nausia feeling he had for a second.
He looked at Oliver who's hair had a bit of dirt in it. He let his hand come up and brush the dirt from his hair. Then he rubbed his own head because it hurt from his head hitting the ground. "Ugh" He moaned trying to forget about the pain in his body. He felt Oliver's body lift from Caleb's only to fall once more. He let out a breath of air and closed his eyes. "You ok Ollie?" He asked looking up at him.
He felt Oliver roll of of Caleb and Caleb took a breath of cold air. God he wasn't going to be able to make his way down the hill tonight. "Sorry again, can I help you or anything?" Caleb shook his head. "Nah Im good" He said with his eyes closed, until he felt Oliver's arm come down on Calebs. His eyes opened quickly and looked at their arms. Just forget it Caleb, don't think into it. He had to tell himself that.
"How the fuck are we gonna get back to camp?" there was no way that could happen. Caleb felt Oliver's skin from his hand on top of his own. He wasn't really thinking to into it right now. "I have no idea. I will never be able to get down the hill" He said with a moan as a pain shot through his back. Oliver said it would be easier to slep up here. Caleb nodded. "Way easier, I would sleep up here if I really have to" which he probably would because moving wasn't going to happen. He had to roll over so he wasn't on his back. he groaned as he rolled over towards Oliver. Moving his hand from Oliver's. He looked at Oliver and gave him a weak smile.

You were just a face in the crowd,
At Caleb's comment he chuckled before saying, "Yeah, you may want to see a chiropractor..or something." Sighing out, he tried to concentrate so he could move again, but then Caleb's hand was reaching toward his face, he became cross eyed as he tried to see where the boys hand was going, but then he was touching his hair and a clump of dirt fell out. Ollie shook out his head, just in case any other fragments of dirt were hiding on top of his head.
As he fell once more on top of Caleb he heard the wind being knocked out of him, between laughs he said, "Yeah, of course, how bout you? I did just land on you, and I'd bet ten bucks that I'm about twice as heavy as your skinny ass." Okay, so he normally wouldn't say things like that, but then again, he was drunk. He said all kinds of personality warping comments when he was drunk. As he returned Ollie's question with a no, he closed his eyes and sighed out. "I wasn't even drunk when I came up here, wow, I wonder what the hell I was thinking..." He trailed off, a bemused expression twisting through his lips.
He laughed silently for no reason, but then stopped as he listened to Caleb speak, "Hmm, yeah, I'm gonna sleep here. Even if we are gonna get screwed over when the counselors find us. Oh well." Apparently when he got drunk he developed a bit of a language problem. Hr groaned and sat up, leaning his elbows against his knees as he looked down at Caleb. Although he was thinking of the trouble he get in, he apparently hadn't thought of what the situation would seem like to the counselors.
There were beer bottles scattered about so they would obviously assume they were drunk, they were both guys, and one was without a shirt. So that would be a bit awkward, lucky Oliver never stopped to think about that little fact. Legs moved to fold around him as he crossed his legs once more, one hand moving to rub at his arm. Not bringing a shirt was a ridiculous idea, he was practically freezing at this point.
Well, he would have to deal. "You seriously okay?" Ollie asked him once more, the fact was that he was a bit concerned, the boy had probably fallen onto a heap of rocks, and Ollie probably did weight more than him. A finger moved to scratch at his forehead, leaving a thin line of dirt there, which he either didn't notice, or didn't pay attention to. "You want to keep lying there? Your probably on a rock, here, come on, sit up." He said, extending his hand forward to help the boy who probably had some sort of back problem by now.

Caleb was really hating this pain he was feeling over his whole body. Everytime he tried to sit up it shot a painful sting in his back. "Yeah, you may want to see a chiropractor..or something." Caleb chuckled and nodded. "Yeah that wouldn't be a bad idea" He said rubbing his forehead. "Yeah, of course, how bout you? I did just land on you, and I'd bet ten bucks that I'm about twice as heavy as your skinny ass." He nodded taking anothr deep breath. Oliver really wasn't that heavy, but the force he landed on him kind of hurt. "Im fine. Don't worry your not heavy" He said with a smile.
Caleb moved his hair from his eyes with two fingers then looked abck to Oliver. "I wasn't even drunk when I came up here, wow, I wonder what the hell I was thinking..." he laughed, though it kind of hurt to. Caleb on the other hand, had been. "Probably thought it was a good idea at the time" He said trying to sit up again but failing. " Unlike me, who was pretty stupid to drunk walk all the way up here" He said with a smile.
"Hmm, yeah, I'm gonna sleep here. Even if we are gonna get screwed over when the counselors find us. Oh well." Caleb nodded. "yeah, I could really care less what happens if we get caught." He said looking at Oliver. How was the kid going to sleep up here without a shirt on. The ground was hard, cold and wasn't to comfortable. Plus it got extremely cold up here, he could feel it already. He was more then happy to keep Oliver warm, but he wasn't sure if he would agree with that one. "Your going to have a fun time trying to sleep up here without a shirt just to let you know" He said with a small laugh.
"You seriously okay?" Oliver had asked after Caleb let out another small grunt of pain. He nodded, but didn't say anything. Then Oliver extended a hand to him. He took a hold of it and pulled himself up. "Oh god that hurt" He said refering to his back. He looked at Oliver."You better not let go of my hands or i'll fall right back over" He said with a laugh. It was true the only thing keeping him up was Oliver.
He looked Oliver over, he did really look cute in the moonlight, especially without the shirt. Trying to ignore the pain in his back he opened his mouth to say something but couldn't. Instead he spoke with actions, which is usually what he did whn he was drunk. He leaned in, pulling Oliver in closer by the hands and lightly kissing his lips. He didn't break it right away. So the kid would slap him, ah well, worst has happened.

You were just a face in the crowd,
"Nope, but I don't know if they have any chiropractors at camp. Besides the nurse, and she's really scary. I wouldn't want her to touch my back even if I had an ax sticking out of it." Okay, so he was going to extremes, obviously he wouldn't care who touched him if he had a giant ax sticking out of his back, but he was proving a point. The nurse was amazingly scary. He snorted at the boys comment before saying, "Yeah, but I'm heavier than you." Which was probably right, Ollie didn't have a lot of fat, but he did have a bit of muscle, which turned out did weigh a bit.
As he spoke again he smiled and nodded, "Yeah, but I don't know how that could possible be a good idea," Raising a brow in amusement at the boys words he spoke, "Your lucky you didn't break something." which was entirely true. He thought quietly about what would happen if the counselors found them, "Hope they don't chuck us off a cliff or something." He said with a laugh, "that would totally suck."
He shrugged as the other boy spoke his thoughts, and he said the first thing that came to min, "Uh...body heat?" He couldn't even remember what that was, but he vaguely knew that campers used it to get warm or something, at this point he didn't even know what he was thinking about. As he reached down to pull Caleb up, he heard his words and chuckled quietly, "I bet it did." When the boy was finally sitting, though he looked a bit dizzy, he spoke out again.
Oliver laughed, but said, "alright, after all, they'd probably blame me if you managed to knock yourself out." And then Caleb was pulling at his hand, he wasn't sure why exactly, so he looked down, nothing seemed wrong except for the fact that Caleb was now closer to him, Ollie's mind clouded over as confusion mixed with his drunken state, which of course made him not care.
As he looked back up he saw Caleb's eyes for a flash of a second, and then his lips were on his. Shocked eyes remained open as the sudden nagging returned. Frustration covered him as he didn't know what it meant, but then Caleb's lips were moving against his, and his brain apparently did a knee jerk reaction and he responded, kissing him back. His mind was still spinning lazy circles where ends didn't seem to meet, so he was just as dazed and confused when the boy broke away.
Bringing a hand to his face, he brushed locks of hair out of his eyes, still holding the boys hand, he knew he was supposed to - though he had long ago forgotten why. Eyes were wide in thought, as if he were trying to figure out what just happened, but then he refocused back to where he sat, eyes trailing to the boy in front of him as he said the first thing that came to mind, "umm," It didn't exactly sound uncomfortable, but Ollie didn't even know what he was doing at this point, so he just decided to come out and make a random noise.

It was a bummer the camp didn't have a chiropractor, they really should. Caleb listened to Oliver say the nurse was scary and something about an axe mad him laugh. " Yeah she is a bit frightening. I think i'll manage" He wasn't planning on going to see her. She was scary enough the first day when he saw her. He wasn't planning on going back. "Yeah, but I'm heavier than you." Caleb smiled. "Only becasue you got that nice muscle" He said with a laugh. It was true, Oliver was built, it was hot.
"Your lucky you didn't break something." Caleb nodded, holding tightly onto Olivers arms in order to stay up. His back wasn't hurting as bad as it was before, but he was still in major pain. "Yeah I know. I fell enough times trying to get up here" He said with half a smile. "Hope they don't chuck us off a cliff or something." some how that was funny, probably because he was drunk. "Now that wouldn't be the nicest punishment now would it " he said biting the inner side of his lip. "Uh...body heat?" Caleb was a bit surprised by his comment. Oliver did know what the body heat plan intelled right?
You can't keep yourself very warm, so it means holding onto another person to share body heat. Hope he knew what he was talking about. "Hey works for me" He said with a smile. The kiss had been quick, but it flt like forever. He felt like he didn't want to break that kiss, Oliver's lips were like morphine. Man no wonder every girl at camp was crushing on him. Not bad to look at and a great kisser. He smirked when they pulled away. "umm," that was all....
Well, Calb had a little more to say. He kept his face close to Oliver's. "your a good kisser Ollie" He said with a smile leaning in again to kiss him once more. He liked kissing Oliver. His one hand let go of Oliver's and moved to the back of his neck. He tilted his head a bit in order to get better acess at Oliver's lips as he deepened the kiss a bit.

You were just a face in the crowd,
He mirrored the other boys laughter; "Yeah, she'd probably kill you and sell your fingers on ebay." So maybe that was a camp myth, but still, it was freaky. As he spoke out again, Oliver laughed, mainly because he wasn't sure what was going on, and in this state of mind, he would laugh at almost anything. As Caleb spoke of his adventure on the way up the mountain, Oliver attempted to make a sympathetic face, though he looked more like he was trying to remember something than sympathize towards someone. "Yeah, your pretty messed up." Meaning he looked a bit...messy.
As the boy spoke of Oliver's cliff diving comment, he looked at him before saying, "well, is it supposed to be fun when they brutally kill us?" He wouldn't really know, he had ever gotten in trouble at camp before, he was usually a good little boy. He usually had Kylie to talk him down from acting like an idiot. When Caleb agreed with him over his heating idea, he nodded his head, hoping it didn't entail rubbing two sticks together to create fire. That would just plain suck.
And then the kiss had happened, and before he had realized the sky from the ground, Caleb was looking up at him. "uh...thanks?" He half asked, wondering if that was the right response that the situation entailed. And then he felt something cold at the back of his neck, almost jumping before he realized it was Caleb's hand, chilled from the air around them. And then Caleb was pressing his lips against Ollie's once more.
Ollie tried to sort out his warped thoughts, but his brain only responded by a reaction that was impulsive, it told him that if someones lips were against his, to kiss them back, after all, that's what he had done every other time. So he listened to his clouded brain, lips moving almost softly as Caleb seemed to want to deepen it. He felt a wave of something wash over him, but he was too distracted to actual pick apart what it meant - even if he may have understood it this time.
One hand tightened around the boys wrist, thumb moving lightly as if writing out a letter, another thought his brain had sent him. Apparently it didn't have room for old thoughts and was resorting to dragging back the older memories. The wind rushed by, and he shivered involuntarily, moving Oliver's hair so that it was partially meshed with Caleb's, not that he really noticed. And then he broke away, breathing out raggedly, watching Caleb partially with half lidded eyes, his hand still encircling Caleb's wrist as he inhaled the cold air.

That nurse scared him majorly. Even if he was dying, she wouldn't go to her. Well, maybe, if he had no choice. "Yeah, she'd probably kill you and sell your fingers on ebay." Another kid had said the same thing, must be a camp myth or something. "Make some good money off these babies" He said with a drunken laugh admiring his fingers. Ok, so they weren't the nicest fingers, but he had nice nails, unlike most guys, might be from spending to much time with his sister when he was younger.
"well, is it supposed to be fun when they brutally kill us?" Caleb was quiet, as if thinking about it, but only as a joke. Eventually he shook his head. " Nah I guess not. But do you really think they'd throw two kids off a cliff for getting drunk and sleeping on the peak?" He asked with a smile. Major trouble? oh yeah. Death? Seemed unlikely. "one not wearing a shirt might I add" He said just for the kicks. That might look suspicious to a counselour.
"uh...thanks?" what a naive kid. Didn't know how great of a kisser he really was. But most people didn't. Thus stupid people usually ended up asking. 'Am I a good kisser?' Caleb found that quiet amusing. Breaking from the kiss Caleb didn't want to end he looked at Oliver and took a deep breath of cold air. It kind of hurt to take such a deep breath. He kept his face close and his hand on his neck. He knew so many things were wrong with this senerio, but he wasn't caring right now. He gave Oliver another quick kiss before letting go of both his neck and hand, slowly falling back to the ground.
He groand quietly. His back as hurting to much from sitting up, laying down was better. He closed his eyes for a minute, waiting for the pain to subside. then he looked abck at Oliver with a small smile. "Don't act like that wasn't a god damn good kiss mister" He said with a smile, that was his drunk side talking. He bit his lips lightly and folded his hands behind his head, looking up at the starry sky. It was nice up here, though freezing. His body shook uncontroably from a very cold freeze that came by. Should have brought a sweatshirt.

You were just a face in the crowd,
He pulled up a corner of his mouth as the other boy spoke, "Yeah, but then you'd have no fingers." Of course, that fact was obvious, but apparently Oliver had felt the need to state it. As the boy across with them spoke of their fate, he shrugged, "I don't know, has anyone came out at dark, got drunk and slept on the peak without a shirt before?" He asked, smiling slightly as he tried to picture what the counselors would assume, but it took too much effort and he quickly gave up.
And then they were kissing, there was something odd about it, but Ollie by now was too dizzy to think of anything but responding the the boy, who leaned in to touch his lips briefly against Ollie's once more, before settling himself on the ground, groaning as he fell. As Caleb spoke to him, Ollie let his body slide beside his, earing his words he decided it easier to just agree with him rather than analyzing the whole situation at hand. "Yep," He replied simply, closing his eyes and letting an arm fall across his face.
HE sighed out lightly before dragging his arm from his face to turn to look at his current companion, "You okay?" He asked him, watching the boy shake slightly. Not that Ollie had a right to talk about the cold, the goosebumps his skin now wore looked like they might have been etched there permanently. Fingers twitched from cold as he spoke out, "It's fucking freezing, if I could move I would seriously go back to camp." Of course, moving was out of the question.
He had long since vetoed that one. "So what, we rub two sticks together now?" He asked tiredly, the idea didn't seem all that appealing, but he decided that if it would make him warm, he was all for it. His body, after all, would take anything that would stop the cold at this point. "Isn't that what that body heat thing is, it involves sticks right?" Of course, if he weren't drunk he might have picked up on how incredibly stupid that had sounded.
Obviously a form of heat which included the word body, would not have very much to do with sticks, but at this point he was rambling out whatever thoughts his brain had felt like feeding him. He rubbed a hand along his stomach, though that felt colder than his actual hand and soon gave up. Instead, he decided to voice his thoughts once more, "Wow, we really are idiots for coming up here." Which was entirely true, who really did that?
}} Sorry, it's mega short.

Caleb looked from his fingers back to Oliver. "Yeah, but then you'd have no fingers." wow, way to state the obious. Caleb smiled and shrugged. "Eh what do we really use these for anyway." He said sarcasticly. He knew his sarcastic remark was stupid, but he found it kind of funny. "I don't know, has anyone came out at dark, got drunk and slept on the peak without a shirt before?" Caleb shrugged, how would he know, this was his first year. "Well this is my first year so I wouldn't able to tell yeah. Though Im guessing it's unlikely" He said with a small chuckle. Most people probably had a bit more common sense.
"Yep," eh, he agreed to easily. He was expecting him to be saying something like 'why the fucking hell did you kiss me?' but it must have been the beer, clogging this thoughts. Caleb didn't say anything, wasn't going to, why press this odd situation any further. He would die to kiss the boy again, but wouldn't unless the situation presented itself. "You okay?" Caleb noded. "Yup, just a bit cold. Still probably warmed then you though" He said with a laugh, shaking again from a breeze of wind. His skin was pretty much all goosebumps right now.
"It's fucking freezing, if I could move I would seriously go back to camp." Caleb nodded in agreement. If there was any way he could get up and manage to move, he would go back to camp. but right now he didn't see that happening. "So what, we rub two sticks together now?" If thats what oliver was thinking, Caleb was hoping he knew how to make a fire and have a lot of patience. Becasue Caleb sure as hell didn't. he couldn't make a spark to save his life. "If you can make a fire that is, otherwise, rubbing sticks together will be pointless, and just a waste of time." He said with a smile, looking from Oliver back to the sky.
"Isn't that what that body heat thing is, it involves sticks right?" eithier this boy was really drunk or really stupid. Caleb looked back to Oliver and shook his head. "Do you not get the word body in body heat" He didn't say it in a mean way, just more of a 'oh durr' kind of way. "Body heat is something in your body. But you can't keep yourself warm with your own. Thus you share body heat with another person" Wow, he sounded smart for being drunk, must be coming down from the drunkness.
He was guessing Oliver's next question would have been 'how?' so he just answered it now. "Huddling, hugging, anything that will keep the two bodies close enough to keep them both warm" He mumbled slightly. If Oliver didn't want to, that was fine, but that just meant he better be able to make a fire and or be perpared to freeze his ass off tonight.

You were just a face in the crowd,
"Um...picking things up?" He responded, closing his eyes dully as he felt the onslaught of a brutal headache headed his way. As the boy spoke once more, he tried smiling through what was beating through his brain, though it came out as more of a grimace than anything else, "Probably not. Guess we're gonna find out." He said, adding as an afterthought, "Well, if they find us." With a small shrug, which did nothing but jar his already dizzying head. After drinking Ollie was usually pretty out of it, at least until he slept it off, and then even though he would have a monster of a headache, at least he could then form coherent thoughts.
He shivered once more as the boy spoke, smiling grimly as he tried to stop the pounding headache coursing through his sluggish brain in futile. But as he heard Caleb's words, he focused more on his body and how he was shivering than his alcohol induced headache, with at least made it feel a bit more dull. "Yeah, probably." He responded back, admiring an arm that was covered in raised hair. Brushing a hand over his skin quickly, he shivered once more. "Isn't supposed to be warm in summer?" He griped, more to himself, though he said loud enough to be heard by everyone in the vicinity. Which was just himself and Caleb.
His gaze shifted to look around his surroundings, though that just made the world spin harder, and he laid his head against his arms, breathing in and out steadily as the world slowly stopped shaking. Looking up as he heard Caleb's voice once more, he sighed before allowing out a small, "Nope, I don't think I ever took the time to create fire with a stick." Which was true, why use something that would take forever when you could just flick a lighter and have a flame?
And then Caleb went on to explain the word body heat. Well, it seemed to make sense anyway, at least until he stopped paying attention. It seemed basic by the words he caught. It involved bodies. Well then, that seemed obvious. Maybe it was too obvious, that was why he hadn't caught it. Either that or he was amazingly to drunk to realize it, and that was the motive he was leaning toward. It seemed much more obvious of the two choices.
And then Caleb was ticking off what he was supposed to be doing, hearing the words as instructions, his body followed through immediately, doing something instinctual as it was cold, and obviously would do the first thing that was suggested to come into heat. So Oliver felt his arm being draped around Caleb's should as he moved closer. His breath bouncing off the boys skin as he felt the edge of Caleb's arm, just as cold as is own. Eyelids dropped as he felt the onslaught of pure tiredness drizzling slowly through his veins, causing him to fall into an artificial slumber.

"Um...picking things up?" wow, He must have missed the sarcasim in his voice. Becasue he actually answered that question. Oh well, Caleb brushed it of. He honestly knew he need his fingers, he was just being an idiot. "Well, if they find us." Caleb nodded. "I doubt they will actually look up here though. It's just not somewhere people come to sleep" He said with a small laugh.
He was going to end up not remembering a thing that happened today. Waking up with Oliver next to him was going to seem odd in the morning, for now, he would like it. "Isn't supposed to be warm in summer?" He chuckled a bit. Reid had asked the exact same thing. "You would think, but weather is one crazy bitch she is" He said with a smile, moving a hand from behind his head to brush his hair form his eyes. Another breeze made Caleb shake a bit, rubbing his own arms a couple of times.
"Nope, I don't think I ever took the time to create fire with a stick." Well then, doesn't seem like there would be a fire tonight. Caleb couldn't manage any words, he was getting super tired. He gave Oliver a small grunt so he knew he heard what he said. He yawned and then closed his eyes for a minute. He was trying not to fall asleep, but when he felt Oliver move in close, he knew he could.
He felt Oliver's arms around him, he might feel cold but when his body was agaisnt Caleb's it was actually very warm. He wrapped his arms around Oliver's waist and pulled him close, burrying his face in Olivers warm neck. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes again. His breaths became more shallow as he began to fall in a sleep. His body was becoming more warm as he finally fell into a sleep.
(ugh.sucks, sorry my friends distracting me)

You were just a face in the crowd,
As the boy spoke again, he nodded, "Probably, it is pretty stupid after all." He responded back, feeling rock pressing at his leg, though was too tired to actually move it. And then he was trying to go to sleep, he felt Caleb's arms wrap around his waist as he drew closer, the warm cloud of his breath hitting his neck. He was getting warmer, though he was incredibly uncomfortable, though that probably had to do with the fact that there was quite a large number of rocks pressing into his skin.He was about to say something about how stupid rocks were, when he fell into his drunken slumber, eyes closed as darkness enshrouded his thoughts, and he was free to think no longer.
________________________
He heard birds, shark piercing noises that made his head want to burst open. He tried to move, but pain shot up his arm as he did so. And there was an odd feeling of skin next to his arm. Eyes fluttered open soundlessly as he took in the sights around him. The most obvious was the fact that he was in another guys arms. And he had no shirt on. Eyes widened, as he struggled to push himself away, falling backwards and practically smacking his head on a large rock.
Breathing came rapidly as he looked around, "What...the fuck." He mumbled out, he recognized where he was vaguely, redwood peak. The place where that one kid had attempted suicide. Taking shallow breaths, he stood up as an aching pain shot through his body, though he guessed that had to do with the fact that he was sleeping on the rocky ground the whole night.
He paced back and forth, glancing sideways at the boy who was sleeping in the dirt as he pounded at his head with his fist. He could remember pieces, fragments, but not the whole story. And he definitely needed the whole story. Glazed eyes stared off as he could remember something about a bear, kicking at a beer bottle, falling off a rock. And that was it. Sighing out he walked towards the boy, nudging him with his foot to wake him.
Eyes moved frantically around, as if he expected someone to jump out from behind a tree and yell 'surprise!' at him. He crouched down, poking at the boy and speaking, "Hey, Caleb, wake up. What the fuck happened here?" Groaned, he fell back, grabbing a handful of what appeared to be pebbles, he threw them at the sleeping kids head, "Caleb, wake up, what happened?" He asked a bit more desperately this time, looking around with puzzlement as he tried to remember last nights events once more, though he couldn't remember any other details.

Sleeping was no comfortable to say the least. He definatly was going to have back problems for the rest of his life, scars from rocks digging into his skin and bruises from who knows what. He wasn't remembering anything from last night, or why he was so uncomfortable. He groaned as he attempted to roll over and it hurt, he cringed.
He felt something move from next to him but didn't open his eyes, he wanted to go back to sleep, it was way to early, and now that what ever had been keeping him warm was gone, he was suddenly very cold. He wrapped his arms around himself and pulled his knees closer to his body. "Hey, Caleb, wake....What the.......here?" Caleb could only hear part of the sentence, he kept zoning out, trying to fall back asleep. Who ever was nagging should shut up.
But he was having issues falling back to sleep. He tried to move but hit a rock and groaned. "Caleb, wake up, what happened?" He felt something hit his head, pebbles. He tried sitting up but it hurt. "what the fuc--Ow!" He cringed falling back on the ground. "ooww" he moaned rubbing his head, trying to ignore the pain in his back. He opeend his eyes and looked at the person who threw pebbles at his head. " oliver? what the hell? why are you throwing rocks at my head and..." He looked around, the peak? "Why am I here. what are you doing here?" He asked. Wow, he couldn't remember anything, he must have been extremely wasted.
Everything was blurry from the night before, his mind was clouded and nothing amde sense. He remembered getting drunk, and leaving the cabin. something shiny? Uh, pain, yes lots of pain. And coldness. What the hell was happening. "How am I saposed to know what happened? I barely know how I got here." He mumbled rubbing the back of his neck. He couldn't move, every bone in his body hurt. Each time he attempted to sit up, he fell back. It jsut wasn't working.
