[The hardest part is yet to come. I don't mind restrictions, or if you're blacking out the friction. It's just an escape] "Crap crap crap" Jared came limping into his cabin holding his hand against his dark green shirt. Jared had to be one of the most clumsy people in the world. He dropped down on his bed to take the pain off of his throbbing ankle. Almost everyone was out doing something. Jared, being him, he had been acting like an idiot and tripped, his ankle got twisted and sent him rolling down the hill. Next thing he knew his ankle was throbbing and his hand was bleeding.
The last thing he would do is go to the nurse, that lady was scary. He just needed some ice and a bandage to stop the bleeding, then he would be fine. His friends told him to see the nurse, but Jared had a fear of nurses in general, not just this creepy one. He looked down at his rain stained shirt. "Crap" He said again pulling off his shirt and wrapping it around his hand, he had laundry to do anyway.
He felt like a complete idiot, seriously, how many people hurt themselves this much just by fall down a hill, not even that steep of a hill. He rested back on the wall and propped his throbbing ankle on the bed and bit his lip hard as he held the stained shirt on his wound. He wasn't sure how he cut his hand, must have been a rock or something. Ethier way he felt stupid. "Why did I come to camp anyway. This place kind of sucks" He mumbled to himself looking down at his hand. That wasn't true, this camp was actually fun, more fun then he got at home anyway.
His mom couldn't handle him, his dad bailed on him, and his brother dead. Honestly, this camp was better then anything. He just didn't have a lot of friends here, the place was so new to him. Everyone seemed to have found a clique, or a group of friends they fit in with. Jared didn't. Don't get him wrong, he had a couple friends, he was just lousy at making them. He looked at his ankle and rolled his eyes. He lookd back to his hand, still biting his lip, the pain in his lip made the pain in his ankle and hand a bit less noticable.

{So many words for the broken heart, It's hard to see in a crimson love. So hard to breathe. Nights of light so soon become Wild and free I could feel the sun;; Everyone else was out hanging with all their friends around the camp because there wasn't anything better to do it seemed today. And Reece hadn't anything to do, and no friends to actually go up to and have a decent conversation with either, so there was no where else to go but back to the Mammoth Cabin, and just hope for something interesting to happen. Though, once the eighteen year old boy reached the Cabin it didn't seem like there was allot of noise coming out from it, so there was already an assumption that there was no one in there. Which bummed him out slightly, and made his heart sink deep down into the pit of his stomach, but once he pushed open the Cabin door, there was only one person that was sitting on their bed. Blood. That was the only thing his smoky gray eyes captured, and sent his stomach bubbling into an icky feeling. If there was one thing that made him sick feeling, it had to have been that. Even his own blood made him sick. The thick liquid of crimson colour, that had the slightest hint of copper taste was just disgusting to him. Even a small amount was enough for his own eye sight.
He let the door close behind him with a clank, and he swallowed a swollen lump inside his throat, near his adam's apple. The next thing he did was run in front of the boy, and into the bathroom that was attached to the Cabin with beds. There had to be a white and red First Aid kit somewhere here just for those minor cuts. All he needed now was to give the boy something so that he himself wouldn't get sick and have to go to the nurse. And that's what he pondered next as his hand was up, grasping around the side of the white plastic box of bandages and cleaning stuff. Reece shook his head that was full of black strands of hair, and he walked out calmly with the box. "Here..." Reece told him as he sort of looked away as he handed the box to the boy. He looked alittle younger than him.
Today he wore a pair of way too tight jeans that actually showed his good features, and made it seem as if he had really skinny legs. Really he didn't like wearing tight clothings, but only if they were revealing did he hate them. If they were like this, he didn't care all that much because it was his style. The dark jeans contrasted good with the black shirt with neon green sleeves that came out from underneath it and gave way to a layered look. Words on the front were in black, with white and neon green around them, and it read, 'Satan knows you're a POSER'. Basic converses or high-tops were on his feet, and he had his hair spiked back, and down in his face. Sort of a 'emo' look, or maybe 'scene', but Reece normally was all into the whole Gothic thing.
Swallowing back another lump forming in his throat, Reece pulled up a chair lamely, and sat down in it. Glancing at the boy that had his foot leveled up. It seemed to be swollen, so more than likey he had twisted it or something. No, Reece wasn't really going to be nosey and ask how it happened because it was this boy's business. "Are you alright?
" He asked anyway, though it didn't seem like it was all that okay.[/blockquote]

Jared closed his eyes and let out a long breath. There was no way he would go to the nurse, no way. He stated this over and over in his head. He had to many bad memories with nurses, doctors, hospitals, therapists. People who claimed they wanted help but all they did was make his life worst. No, he wouldn't go to the nurse. It was just a cut and a twisted ankle, the cut would heal and so would the ankle. He looked down at his green shirt that was pretty stained with red, the bleeding, he was guessing, as slowing down. Most people would gt stiches, but there was no way. It would heal on it's own.
He heard the door slam and he jumped a bit. A boy walked in. He had seen him before, considering they shared a cabin. He had found something attractive about him but wasn't sure what. Jared was feeling stupid, one; because the boy hadn't said anything and two; he was lying here, shirtless, bleeding and a throbbing ankle. Geezz, way to go Jared. He thought to himself, taking another deep breath. "Here..." He lookd up and saw the boy holding out a First Aid box. He was looking away, must be the blood. Most people didn't like blood, Jared wasn't fond of it either.
"Thanks" He said quietly taking the box with his good hand and then setting it next to him. He opened it up and pulled out a disinfeccient wipe. He took the shirt off of his hand and threw it to the side of his bed with the rest of his dirty clothes. He opened the wipe and dabbed it on the wound. "ow" He said quietly hissing out a breath as the wipe cleaned up the blood and anything else that had gotten into the cut. He watched the boy pull over a chair and sit down. He was feling even more embarassed now.
He finished cleaning it up so the blood was gone. He ripped open one of those freakishly large band aids, he chose a neon green one, his favorite color oddly enough. "Are you alright?" He looked at the boy and nodded. " Yeah, i'm just a clumsy ditz no biggy" He said with a small smile. He looked down at his hand and placed the band aid over the cut. He looked over his hand to make sure there was no dried blood. It still stung but it looked much better now. To bad he couldn't say the same for his ankle. He pulled out a ace bandage that was in the box and wrapped it around his ankle. He would grab some ice later. He wrapped it up and made sure it stayed in place.
Looking back to the boy he smiled. "Thanks again. I'm Jared by the way" He said brushing his own dark hair from his eyes. Yeah, the boy as definatly cute. Of course it was his luck that a cute guy shows up and he's looking like an idiot. smooth.

Now that Reece thought twice about it, he had seen this boy around the Cabin a time or two because they basically slept in the same room ever since he came to the camp. Which wasn't that long ago really, he just never got up and talked to the boy. His thoughts or feelings for him weren't really there, because he never concentrated that hard on the delicate features of the boy in the past few days of him being here. Sure he was adorable in the face and all that good stuff, but half the time you would run into a boy that dressed like that and just your luck they were straight as a line. Rare in Reece's case really, but there was that huge possibility that a guy that he may like would be straight. He guessed that, that was only a bad thing about being Gay half the time. He got over it, and never had that many relationships. Which was all more than okay for him because he would rather go through his life with not so many 'broken hearts' as they way allot of girls and guys put it out as.
Scratching at the side of his left nostril, at the annoying nose ring, he blinked and glanced over at the boy. He was cleaning up the wound, and slowly the crimson coloured blood was going away from his sight, which was a good thing. Reece gave a small, and brief nod of his head as the boy spoke up and said 'Thanks'. Polite. Removing his hand from the side of his nose, he rested his own hand on his knee as he leaned back into the chair alittle bit. It was sometimes annoying to have the piercings in, but really not as annoying as the piercings in had on both his nipples. Awkward yeah, and he'd be all more embarrassed than the dark haired boy in front of him if he himself was sitting around without a shirt. And not to mention he was all lanky, and skinny it wasn't that funny. Though, he did have muscles on his chest and everything. He had abs and stuff. He wasn't just skin and bones like some. Gross, he didn't want to look all anorexic.
He gave way to a small chuckle that passed over his soft, coral coloured lips. "Yeah. Everyone has those moments of being completely clumsy and stuff. Maybe some more than others.
" Reece said as a lame, sheepish smile plastered against his features. He himself could be alittle clumsy at times too. Maybe not so intense to where he twisted his ankle and got a cut, but just a small strip of carpet burn against his cheek by tripping over his own foot or over thin air, and then slidding down hard on the carpet floor. Carpet burn hurts like hell, so it always left him with a slightly red colour on his cheek and he looked like he had blush on one side of his chek and not the other one. Icky ness, and he would never wear blush anyway. Maybe eyeliner and eyeshadow of course, but nothing more. Ew, he looked enough like a girl sometimes. He'd hate to look more like one. Nodding his head, he shifted his weight in the seat for alittle bit, and took in a deep breath of air silently to himself before speaking again. " I'm Reece. Nice to meet you," Sometimes the eighteen year old could be nice to people, but when you get him in a bad mood you better leave him be because he'd chew your head off almsot literally by being so enraged. Nah, he wasn't a cannibal anyway. He tried to be a Vegan mainly. He hated the thought of eating meat and poor animals.[/blockquote]

Jared was surprised that he hadn't talked to the boy very much. He seemed like a pretty cool guy, but then again, Jared wasn't the most social boy at camp. He had no real desire to be at the camp in the first place so he didn't spend as much time socializing as most people did. Now you see where that landed him, lying in bed with a throbbing ankle and a cut. He was such an idiot sometimes.
Jared looked over his hand which was now looking clean and the cut was covered by a green ban aid. It was kind of deep that it would have been smarter to get stitches but he refused. Looking at his ankle which was now wrapped up he cringed a bit at the sharp pain that shot through his ankle. "Yeah. Everyone has those moments of being completely clumsy and stuff. Maybe some more than others." Jared looked up at him, he had almost forgotten the boy was sitting there. "Yeah, I would be one of those people who have their clumsy moments all the time" He said with a small laugh.
Jared found this boy cute, problem was, most guys he ended up liking turned out straight. Or they had a girlfriend or even a boyfriend. Jared had luck with relationships. His heart had been broken one to many times for anyones good. Girls and guys, girls used him, boys slept with him and then booked it out of their. Jared was bad with relationships, he wished he wasn't but it was a fact he had learned to live with. He quickly stopped thinking about his relationship problems when another shot of pain went through his ankle.
"I'm Reece. Nice to meet you," Jared looked to him with a smile. "It's nice to meet you too." He said running his good hand through his multicolored dark hair. "probably a little better if the circumstances didn't suck so much" He said with a small chuckle. So he was curious about something. "So why aren't you out hanging with people and having a super fun time?" He said the last part kind of sarcasticly. His eyes averted from the boy back to his hand, he was afraid it might be awkward if he got caught staring.

The only reason why Reece was so cautious about any relationship he tried to get into was because he was way too afraid of getting his heart broken. Which is something you always go through some time in your relationships, no matter how long they last. Someone has to die or get tired of the other person. Reece figured that that's what always happened with two people. You suddenly just lose interest in the other person to stay with them, and you go and find someone who is more up to date, and fun to be with again. When the person that you had could have very well been that person, and you never gave them the real chance to go through with it. They were more than likely just having some sort of dull day, and weren't that talkative, or whatever they normally are. Basicly the point was, that Reece had never had a relationship... besides one, and that was it. He avoided any feelings he had that weren't his four younger siblings. Which was a strict family love of course.
Why he wasn't outside? Oh yeah, the greatest reason was because he didn't want to. Not really. The ebony haired boy had his other reasons why he didn't want to be out with the whole Saturday campfire thing, and sit around in the grass. Grass . One of Reece's enemies he'd scream at you. Not because he didn't like the sharp edges of the blades of grass, oh no, and it wasn't because he had some sort of wacky phobia of it either. It was basicly because he was allergic to grass. A weird thing to be allergic to at some times, but he was surely more than happy to not roll around in grass and then get his pretty face messed up by it. Ew. He could be alittle conceited with the thoughts of the tall lanky form of himself sometimes. Reece gave way to a small sigh again, and scratched at the side of his pale neck before answering, " Well, really it's not because I hate out door activities like this, because I absolutely love them. It's really because of my stupid body for being allergic to grass. Sucks." he looked around the Cabin. Sure, for a moment he blanked out to think of something interesting else to say. There wasn't alot to say to the boy though. When it came to new people, he didn't have any brain to say anything. It was like introducing a baby to the ocean for the first time. The huge, foamy crashing of water scares them sort of, but you lead them to the icey liquid anyway. Lead them to what they could instantly think would be their deaths, but it isn't and they soon learn to enjoy it, and frollock merrily afterwards. The eighteen year old - soon to be nineteen actually - boy wanted to say he might have feelings for some new boy, but there was still that haunting of one relationship he claimed never even happened to him. Liam had been his boyfriend since he was thirteen till he was seventeen. Four years of being together was such a good thing to know happened, and knowing that the person confessed his love for you through poetry he wrote, and was such a hopeless romantic you couldn't help but to love him anyway. Liam was just so perfect through Reece's eyes. Perfection was just a fogged glass that needed to be wiped at. Wipe away the fog and you can see the broken mirror staring back at you. The hidden secrets that were just stabbed into you; the shards of broken glass of course. It turned out that Liam was cheating on Reece with a girl. After claiming to be gay, Liam had just completely used Reece because he felt sorry for the younger boy because of his past. It was stupid, and Reece hated him for it. Might basicly be the reason why he went with his guard up for anyone, and even himself.[/blockquote]

Jared really wished he didn't suck so much at relationships. He wanted to blame it on his parents, just because he hated them, but it wasn't their fault. He was the one that fell for his own brothr, he was the one that tried to cover the pain of his brothers death with random people. He let them take advantage of him, use him and abuse him pretty much was the story of his life. It made it so hard for Jared to even understand his own feelings anymore. He was to afraid to have his heart broken again.
Jared like spending time outside. Fresh air was better then the mucky crap you breathed in when you were inside. Problem was, he injured himself easily when he was outside, as you can tell. So he found it better to stay inside and drink, or smoke, something. He knew he shouldn't do that crap, but it was hard not to, you pretty much grew up on the stuff, and it kind of sticks to you. Jared's tried rehab or whatever, but he just could never seem to break his addiction to drugs.
Jared worked hard to ignore the pain in his ankle. It wasn't throbbing as hard so it was a bit easier to concentrate on Reece. He nodded after Reece talked about his allergies. "Aw, allergic to grass, really? Wow that must suck" He said with a small laugh. He didn't say it to be mean, but it was kind of ironic that a boy who loved to be outside, was allergic to grass. "I guess hanging outside could be a whole lot more fun when you have something to do" he said with a small shrug. "Like I wouldn't find interest in walking around for an hour, I have to be doing something or I get bored" Jared said with a smile. Sitting in this bed was chilling him actually. He could be doing something a bit more productive. But talking to Reece was a plus.
Jared bit his lip lightly trying to think of something to say. He wanted to tell Reece that he kind of sorta liked him. But how awkward would that be. Especially because they just met and Jared couldn't understand his own feelings let alone share them with someone else. What if Reece was straight? Then if he did end up saying something, he would be shut down because he was stright. Thats happened a couple times, so Jared got a lot more careful on picking guys. "So, How long have you been coming to this camp?" He asked feeling slightly stupid. That was probably the stupidest question evr, but he couldn't think of anything else to say excpt. I would love to through you on the bed and.... well, you can finish the rest. So he had asked the first thing that came to mind that didn't sound sexual.
