As an alarm clock was ringing quite obnoxiously, Brooklyn McKenzie rolled around in the bed that was provided for her here in the sequoi cabin. She had attempted many times before finally lifitng her eye lids, as her blue eyes scanned the cabin. Once again, it was empty. All of the other cabin members had already left and headed out towards Cyprus Hall in order to get the food as it was still hot. You see, whenever anybody in the cabin had tryed to wake her up, they all failed miserably. She was a incrediblyheavy sleeper, and seemed to only wake up when she wanted to, or when a continuous noise went on and on. It was kind of obnoxious, and always led to her being late for school but she didn't mind as much as others. The girl had dug her head into the pillow once more, before hearing some voices again outside that had finally snapped her back into reality. If she was going to eat, she'd have to get up and sooner was better then later. It's not that she was fond of the food there, but it would better at least warm, then cold. So up she got, stumbling over to her neatly packed suitcase. She wasn't about to leave in her Victoria's secret nightie, that would lead to awkward situations. A loud yawn escaped her lips as the girl bent down in order to retrieve some clothes that were cleaned and not all wrinkly. After she had shuffled in the large rainbow colored suitcase, that her aunt bought her when she didn't know, she had finally found a decent outfit that was freshly cleaned and not hideous looking at the moment. To be precise, the outfit consisted of: light denim skinny jeans, with a few holes, and a black hoodie with 'abercrombie' written across the front of it. As for shoes, she wore silver ballet flats. As the girl had got up completely, a stretch overcame her whole body. It normally took her a while to get up in the mornings, and this was part of the process. Her dark hair was curled as she did frequently, which had actually taken her around half an hour. If she wanted it to look perfect, it could of taken longer. Some people at this camp would just throw their hair in a pony tail, but she liked looking her best.
After she had gotten changed, she did her normal routine when finishing up her attire. Curling her already long eyelashes, and applying that seductive perfume that her aunt bought her everytime it had run out. It was expensive, but her aunt adored it so she insisted. It worked for Brooklyn. With one last look in the mirror, she made her way out of the cabin, making sure to grab her large black leather purse on her way out. She carried a purse pretty much everywhere, it almost felt like she was missing something when she didn't. It just felt better to have everything she needed with her. The girl walked happily through the very green grass, as the small blades gently swayed against her feet that were sitting in flats. That was another thing not normal about her today, along with her whole attire. She wasn't wearing heels like she normally did, and she was wearing a hoodie. For some reason she was feeling really cold as soon as she got up, even though she normally wore a tank top or something revealing. Whatever the reason was, she was wearing it and felt comfortable and that't what mattered when you were at camp most of the time. She was nearing the Hall and she could already hear the loud noises of all their voices combined. Most of the kids had probably already got their food, and as the time went on she was kind of loosing her appetite. Some kid had just caught a disgustingly huge fish, and another one had just puked from eating something gross that his so called friend dareed him to. Just lovely. Especially when your about to eat breakfast. If it looked good enough, she might just eat it.
The time had come for her to open the two large doors in order to enter Cyprus Hall. There were no other campers that seemed to be wanting to come into this room so she simply shut the door behind her once she had entered. A few heads turned in order to see who had just entered the Hall, and a couple smiles were shot in her directed from fellow campers that she had known or at least talked to. Or maybe some that were just nice, who really knew. Her hands were dug into her back pockets, as she made her way slowly over to the table where the food was being served. She glanced up at the ladies serving it, and back down. Brooklyn had always wondered what they really did to the food at restaurants, or here at the camp. Someone making it could be sick or sweat in the food or something. It was just gross to think about. After seeing the food, she decided that she would rather not eat it. She was rather picky, okay maybe very picky, when it came to eating food that she didn't like. Yet, if she hadn't tryed something she was very eager and willing to. She loved to try new things, to have the expirience or maybe just to say she'd done that. Now, Brooklyn had rarely eaten the meals that were served here. Sure they were actually pretty good and such, she had always just lost her appetite. She was never one to eat a lot anyway. So whenever some chick in her cabin took out some junk food or something they snuck from home, she might have some. Though as she saw some people eating, she was beginning to want something. Her head shot in the direction of the fruit and vegetable area. That was more her type of place. She was into healthyness and all of that exciting stuff. She grabbed a very red apple, and rubbed it gently along her sweater, in case some other's had been touching it.
The girl had now been looking around the large space. Many of the faces she had recognized. Of course from being here for a couple years she knew many people, and she had even met some new faces this year. Some of them she was actually kind of friends with, others were friends with benefits, and others she didn't really care about. Yup, that's pretty much how her camp life had been until recently. Kade Trent had kind of changed everything. They had been dating, only secretly of course, seeing as both of them would most likely be kicked out and Brooklyn wouldn't mind that on her part, but it would suck if he got fired. So no one knew, and now things would be incredibly awkward as she had made her first public appearance here in a while. She had kind of been trying to avoid the boys in which got those little benefits, out of pure fun, and others she was actually starting to get to know. If she started turning them down for no apparent reason now, they would become suspicious and this whole thing was kind of risky, but she didn't want to stay in her cabin forever, so there she was. In the corner of her eye, she noticed Kade with his yellowstone cabin kids. She was good, very good, at hiding things, so she mearly smiled at the whole group as if she was just being flirty in general before noticing a group of people, well guys actually that she normally sat with. For some reason she got along better with boys then girls. It was a bit odd, but it worked for her. "Mm, hello." She said to the bunch, with a grin on her face.

Sleeping never came easy for the Townsend boy, and noise always seemed to make it worse. It hadn’t come easy the previous night, but he’d forced himself into a light slumber, even if it meant catching only a few hours sleep until the morning hours came around. Actually, it had already been morning when he’d turned in, the moon still as bright as ever. Now, he still to be considered sleeping, even though he could hear everything going on inside the cabin. Slowly awakening, the blonde rolled over on his side, determined not to fully wake. He knew there was still at least an hour until breakfast officially started, and he really didn’t want to just be sitting there again like he had the previous morning. Sighing, he laid there for but a few more moments, pondering on whether or not he should get up. It wasn’t like home, where he could do whatever he pleased when the sun finally peaked from behind the trees. Usually it would consist of something like a run, heading to the diner for a very early breakfast, and then heading off to school, if there was school that day. One might think there was no need for him to get up so early, wouldn’t you assume he enjoyed the rest? Of course he did, but normally he was fighting off a hangover, or had some work to do. A restaurant didn’t run itself, and his father definitely didn’t put any effort into running it. He was stuck with the paperwork when there was any, and most of the time he was fixing little things, and putting in orders for products, food, and supplies that needed to be shipped. During the day, he usually worked some tables, or if they had enough servers, he was just surveying their work. Hunter was a kid that liked working hard, and for that he got paid a great deal in return. There was a need to get up early, and like any day, today was one of them. He knew he wasn’t going to be able to drift back off, so why even bother? Quietly, he swung his legs over the side of the bed, carefully lowering himself to the floor. Being one of the taller guys, he’d been granted with the top bunk; thankfully, because he wasn’t a big fan of knowing someone was sleeping above him. Rummaging through a suitcase of clean clothing, he managed to pick out an outfit; a slightly faded pair of jeans, and a tight fitting navy blue graphic t-shirt, followed by a hooded sweatshirt from one of the boarding schools back in England, one of which he happened to be kicked out of.
After getting dressed the boy snatched up his cell phone, shoving it into the pockets of his jeans, and then made a beeline for the door. He didn’t quite know where he was headed, but a walk sounded like quite the good idea, and by then it would be time to head up to the dining hall. Hunter had been a little bit more careful when it came to where he was at what time of day, just to avoid getting in trouble again. It wasn’t that he really had, he just tended to be on the bad side of every staff member, counselors, well, that was a different story. Whether it was just the look of wanting trouble, or what, he must have had it, because every time one laid eyes on him, he was their primes target for questioning. Where were you? Why are you out of the cabin? Is your counselor informed of this? Things such as that bothered him, he disliked not being trusted, and it wasn’t like he did anything wrong to begin with. Another sigh escaped his lips, and the boy continued wandering aimlessly, having no particular destination in mind. Surprisingly, it was pretty cool outside, not exactly something you’d expect for the summer months. After a while of wandering he came upon the dining hall, and judging by the noise, there was already a pretty decent amount of people in there, considering the fact it was only about eight or so. Almost reluctantly, the blonde started up the path leading to the Hall, avoiding some of the younger boys who ran in front of him to get to the door first. He was already sensing what a rotten day this one was going to be, but here at camp nothing was for sure, so he could only count on someone or something to just brighten it up.
The heavy oak doors opened to reveal tables of campers, some only dotted with teens, others completely full. What possessed these people to come so early? Normally there wouldn’t be a soul in the place, and he pretty much enjoyed eating amongst himself, if he chose to eat at all. Most of the boys at the Yellowstone table just stole your food and liked to mess with you, and on a bad day, Hunter wouldn’t exactly be the best guy to mess with. Moving in the direction of the table usually accommodating all the food, he let his eyes run over the possible choices, a sickening feeling overcoming him. So, maybe food wasn’t the option after a night of heavy drinking, and just the fact that the food just didn’t look appetizing. Naturally, he opted for one of those mini cereal boxes, skipping the bowl and milk, but grabbing one of the water bottles they chose to hand out to you. Prepackaged food was what the boy usually went for, unless it was something they really couldn’t screw up. Hunter wasn’t particularly picky, because he’d grown up making something himself, ordering takeout, or having one of the maids fix him a meal if they were home. Usually, he and his brothers would just opt for takeout, because it seemed to be less work in the long run, but he and his younger brother tended to shy away from that now that Christian died. Things just weren’t all that fun anymore. Sighing at the thought, he took his “meal” back to the Yellowstone table, taking a seat next to one of the boys. On one end of the table there was an excited chatter filling the air, but on the other side a few of the boys were fighting over whose orange was whose, not that it mattered any. Sighing, he settled in, not really touching the contents of the box, but every so often he’d dig out a piece, though that was even rare.
Hunter silently wished that he were home right now, mending things with his younger brother, not that they had much of a relationship to mend. The younger Townsend disliked his older brother, and it bothered Hunter, though he’d never admit to it. They’d be eating their breakfast at the diner right now, it being a weekend and all. Even when they fought they went together, but always made sure they kept at least a seat between them at the breakfast bar to keep a verbal fight from breaking out. If one had known him at all outside of camp, they knew he could eat quite a bit, but only because his body really needed it to get him through the day. Now, the little amount of food he was feeding his body was a tiny fraction of that portion he ate at home. Worry might cross one’s mind, but to Hunter, it was either a punishment if he wasn’t proud of something he did, or it was just because he wasn’t in the mood for eating. The blonde boy was quiet today, but you could tell he wasn’t purposefully being that way; he just didn’t have anything to say. It was strange not hearing his voice to some of the people crowding the table, because Hunter Townsend always had something to say. Today, well, that was a whole different story. For now he just watched as the others fought and talked, every so often nodding to what they had to say, but he wasn’t exactly paying much attention. Perhaps it was the lack of energy or sleep, or maybe it was just that he’d run out of interest for the topics. “Mm, hello,” Brooklyn’s voice barely halted conversation, partly because most were too busy intent on their own to hear it. Glancing up, Hunter returned her smile, slightly brightened by the new presence. “Hey, stranger.”
OHOHSEE;; omg, sorry it took soooo long. this week has been crazy. I'm pretty sure life is slowing down now. XD
