Lately things had been actually really good for Brooklyn. She had been trying to avoid the bad things in her life right now, and focus on the good. Of course, things still ran through her head and other times she was urged to call her parents and apoligize for everything. For being a dissapointment if she was, and for everything she did to make them upset. It was just all so confusing, but really, Kade was seeming to be one of the best things to happen to her in her short life. They had been together for a while now, and she had just realized it as she was laying in her bed in the complete dark, unable to fall asleep. That's pretty much how it was every night though, so she wasn't worried. She seemed to think about the same things every night, no matter how hard she tryed not to. If only she could just forget everything, or start over completely and be a different person. She wouldn't do that though, because she would lose Kade, and that would be really sad because she loved having him around. She find herself wanting to be with him more and more each day, but it was restricted in day time when others were around. Though when some others weren't looking she would do something flirtatious or teasing, just to make him dread the rules even more. It did suck, but still, it was better then nothing for sure. As of now, she would be happy with any sort of relationship they had, though she found herself wishing she could just run over to him and hold his hand, or kiss him, or just do anything like norlam couples do. But they weren't normal, so that was something she'd have to live with.
Soon enough, Brooklyn felt a soft vibration coming from her from pocket. She quickly stood up from the bed, in order to pull the iphone out of her pocket. A new text message. Those were always fun, and another way that the two of these kids could keep in touch when they weren't allowed to be together. Though, the camp didn't really like it when the campers brought their cells around with them because it wasn't part of the whole expirience. Brooklyn got hers taken away for the day various times, but it never stopped her from taking it with her anyways. She would just try to be more secretive next time she took it out in public. The girl slid her phone open, and read who it was from. It was from Kade, and that instantly lit a smile up upon her face. The light shone on her face, and was quite bright seeing as it was very dark in the cabin at the moment. She quinted slightly, as she read his request on the text message. He wanted her to come by his cabin, because it was that time for the boys of yellowstone to go for their camp out in the forest. She wondered what he was thinking, but it sounded very appealing. They could finally be alone, without having the risk of getting caught. Unless someone came to his cabin to talk to him or something, but they didn't have to be worried about getting caught or anything. There was no doubt that she would go, but first she would have to get changed. As of now, she as in no attire to go to over there. Although there really was no specific attire, she would need something to protect her from the cold as she walked over to his cabin. It was a cold night out, and she wasn't going to risk that. The girl walked over to her still neatly packed suitcase, and pulled out a black hoodie, yet a dark denim mini skirt, with random holes and tears. Sure, the bottom part wasn't exactly covering for warmth but still, she wanted to look nice. Though she did slip on a pair of black ugg boots. She like to wear dark clothing for some reason. Her hair was currently at it's natural beachy wavy state, because she had gone swimming earlier. Her scent was of a brand called 'seduction', which she loved, and her make-up was done slightly, with dark eye liner and mascara.
And with that, Brooklyn walked out of the door, though making sure to grab her red leather purse before shutting the door quietly. That would suck if the door was too loud and woke the other girls up, they didn't have any early activities tomorrow but they would still be ticked at her. A group of girls staying in the same room for an extended period of time, could make one go crazy. Good thing Brooklyn snuck out every night, or else she would probably go crazy as well. The girl stumbled through the wet grass, to the nearby cabin that she had actually been to a couple times before this. Once it was for a party, other times it was just to hang out with her guy friends, and such. But this time was different, it was to be with her boyfriend. Which still sounded strange to Brooklyn, but at the same time she loved it. The grass was slightly damp just becuase that's what it did at night. If you asked her why, she would probably ignore you. School wasn't one of her strongest points, but who needs it right. She could see the building in the distance, and at a couple times she saw a councelor and had to hide behind tree's or something, or come up with some clever excuse that the person always seemed to buy. Wonderful, on her behalf. She wondered what Kade had planned for the night, or if she would just be sleeping over in one of the campers beds because no one would even be there. Maybe he had gotten a movie, or maybe not. At this point, everything in their relationship was suprising, so why should this situation be any different. She loved that fact though. How dull would it be, if every time they see each other it was the same thing over and over again. Though she couldn't see herself getting sick of Kade at all, other couples might.
Finally she had neared the door of Kade's cabin. The girl walked up the wooden steps as slowly as possibly, in means not to wake up anyone in the nearby cabins. How polite, right. She raised her hand in order to knock only three times, before taking a couple small steps back. She was pretty excited to see him once more. And most likely the first thing she'd do would be to kiss him. And not like the kisses they sneaked when they both made a bathroom break or something during beach volleyball, hopefully one longer then five seconds. Brooklyn slowly turned around on her heels, and looked out from the porch at the lovely view of the lake they had here. They could easily just run out immediately in the morning off the steps and right into the water if they really wanted to, which im sure they did. They probably had a lot of fun in this cabin. Especially with Kade as their councelor. He most likely let them have parties or do crazy stuff every now and then. What would camp be like without all that fun stuff, really. With her cabin, there were some cool people. But also a lot of girls who thought they were hardcore, but really weren't. Her councelor didn't do that much fun stuff with them either, but Brooklyn was rarely there anyway and seemed to have her own way of making things fun. Kade and Brooklyn together; now that was always fun. She awaited his response as she propped herself up on the ledge of the deck, making sure not to fall over.

If you were to meet up with Kade Trent about three or four years ago and tell him that he would one day enjoy a summer camp, he would laugh right in your face. That Kade from back then would have nothing to do with the idea of summer camp of any kind other than training camp for football. He wasn’t the tree hugging, nature trail kind of guy, and most certainly wouldn’t voluntarily go to a summer camp for the whole freaking summer. He wouldn’t even go for a week, and that’s why he had never been involved in a summer camp when he was younger. He hadn’t seen the point, or why it was that people would actually want to go to one of those places. At the beginning of this summer, he had still held that point of view and had very much dreaded coming to Camp Brunswick, but he really didn’t have any other choices. He hadn’t complained about it, though. Kade had figured that if he could endure the other obstacles that his life had thrown at him, then he could surely handle one summer spent at a summer camp. At the beginning, he had put a lot of effort into acting like he didn’t absolutely hate the place. As time went on, it didn’t take so much effort anymore, and before he even realized it, it wasn’t taking any effort at all. Kade was still far from being what people would call a tree hugger, and he wasn’t about to go off and join Green Peace or whatever the hell that was called, but he definitely wasn’t hating the place. He had always liked the most physical activities, like playing football or participating in some other sport as opposed to sitting inside and reading or watching TV. As it turns out, summer camp is all about the physical activities, such as hiking or canoeing, and they even got to play football and some volleyball. Kade wouldn’t admit it out loud, but he was actually liking this place, and enjoying his time here. Sure, there were a few rough patches here and there to remind him that his life wasn’t perfect and that he wasn’t allowed to think that it was anywhere close to it for even a second, but even those rough patches weren’t able to bring him down much lately, and Kade knew that there was only one reason for that. What is that reason? Well, it is a girl that goes by the name of Brooklyn McKenzie.
Kade would have never thought it to be true. After his past disasters with relationships, he hadn’t believed that a girl could be truly good for him and help him turn things around, but Brooklyn had changed his point of view on that pretty quickly. Because of her, he wanted to look at things in a better light instead of always seeing the worst of it. He didn’t know what it was about her that did this, but she had that sort of power, and though it was sometimes alarming that one person could turn him around like that at times, Kade fully welcomed it. It was about time that something went right in his life, and so far he and Brooklyn had kept things going without a lot of effort. They had faced a few hardships, what with Kade’s ex telling him that he had a three-year-old daughter and Kade having to tell Brooklyn about it. Amazingly, it hadn’t caused a huge riff between them. There were a few minutes of anger, but after that they were playing and being themselves again. It had blown over by now, Kade’s future in his daughter’s life still uncertain at this point. The couple’s biggest hindrance was the fact that their relationship had to stay a secret. It was frustrating at times, especially when other couples around the camp could be seen holding hands or kissing. If Brooklyn and Kade wanted to do anything of the sort, they had to sneak around and hope like hell they didn’t get caught while doing whatever it was that they were doing. Otherwise, Kade could get fired, or Brooklyn could get sent home. Neither were good options, so they had to do their best to sneak without being noticed by any of the other campers or counselors. But, the sneaking around part was what made most of it exciting, and it made whatever time they had together more precious, and it was something that they certainly didn’t take for granted. Kade sometimes wondered what would happen when camp was over and they were actually allowed to be together publicly when they weren’t under camp rules. There had been a thought that maybe the risk and thrill and limited time together was what made them work; that once they were really able to be together the magic would be gone and there would be nothing left. That thought, however, was gone within an instant. Being able to be together full time would just make everything that much better. It had to. Kade and Brooklyn connected on such a different level, and they were good together and for one another. They could last outside of this camp, and they would.
But, at this time, Brooklyn wasn’t the most prominent thing on Kade’s mind. Tonight was the boys’ night out. Outside, that is. They had this big camping trip planned for a while now, and they seemed to be genuinely excited about it. Kade could see that it was something different. Instead of sleeping inside of the cabin and on their bunks, they would be outside in their tents, sleeping on cots or air mattresses. When it came to meals, they would be preparing them for themselves over an open flame instead of just walking to Cyprus Hall and getting a tray load of food made by the cooks. Really, Kade liked camping like that, but he had decided weeks before that he wasn’t going on this little adventure with the boys. He had no particular reason for it, he just decided that he wasn’t going to do it. Some of the camp staff hadn’t liked the idea of the Yellowstone boys wondering alone out in the woods, but Kade was firm and didn’t budge, saying that those boys were old enough to go camping for two nights on their own. And in reality, they would still be on camp property, being a mile or two at the most away from the actual camp facility. While a lot of the boys from Kade’s cabin were partiers and wild, there were some that could be trusted and Kade knew would take charge and be the responsible ones if that position was needed. He didn’t like how the other counselors at this camp treated the campers as if they could do nothing on their own and watched everything that was done, and he was showing this by letting the campers out on their own for a few nights. Besides, what could really happen to them? Ha, famous last words, right? Kade hoped not, but there were a few of the campers that he became slightly worried about as he watched them pack for this camping trip. You would think that having been at a summer camp for the better part of the summer by now that they would know what to when it came to camping, but some of them just didn’t seem to be picking up on the whole idea of it. Kade watched as he leaned against the wall by the cabin door, arms crossed over his chest and a concerned look on his face as one boy couldn’t figure out how to roll up his sleeping bag.
Beyond that boy, there was another that was loading up every digital gadget he had. Some camper. And then, over the left of that boy was another that was hefting a back pack that looked about two times too big for him to be carrying on his back, the boy almost having to bend in half to support the load. What were these guys thinking? No, it was more like what had he been thinking? Should he really be sending these guys out on a camping trip on their own? While it was a good idea and something that was giving the campers more independence, it was also a reflection on Kade. He had insisted that the guys in his cabin could handle this one on their own and that his presence wasn’t needed. If he was right, then the campers were probably on their way to getting more privileges. If Kade was wrong, then he would have to be with them everywhere that they went, not to mention he would be responsible for whatever happened to them while they were unsupervised. But, that was just the gamble he was making. The boy with the sleeping bag issues finally gave up and just stuffed the thing into a bag and was out the door with the others. A few remaining campers made their way out the door, saying their goodbyes to Kade and then joining in with their cabin mates as they started on their way down the trail toward the campsite that they had chosen for their destination. Kade moved from his position to look out the door after them, watching until he could no longer see them. Well, none of them had turned back so far. That had to be a good sign. Kade moved away from the cabin door, letting it close behind him as he did. The cabin was eerily quite, and it dawned on him that he had it all to himself for the next two nights. It was so quite that one could hear a pin drop, and that was definitely unusual for the Yellowstone cabin. The counselor walked over to his bunk and sat down, leaning forward and letting his elbows brace against his thighs, a short sigh escaping his lips as he looked around the cabin. He really was all alone. Usually, this kind of situation didn’t bother him, but right now he wasn’t liking it so much. There was only one way to fix this problem, and Kade wasted no time in digging his cell phone out and working up a short text message to send to Brooklyn. They never got time to themselves, but that was about to change. The cabin was empty, and no one would come looking for him. Once the message was done and sent, Kade put his cell phone back in his drawer beneath his bunk, suddenly feel excitement about the opportunity at hand.
What they were going to do once Brooklyn got there, Kade had no idea, but that didn’t matter, did it? They would be alone and they could do whatever they damn well pleased. They wouldn’t have to sneak or make excuses. They could just be them, and that would be something new entirely. Standing from the bunk, Kade took a glance at the cabin. It wasn’t too much of a mess seeing as the boys had taken most of their things with them for the camping trip. What mess there was, well, Kade didn’t see himself cleaning it up. If he started that, then the campers would just assume that it was his duty, not theirs, and never pick up after themselves in this cabin ever again. Not that they did a great job of that anyway, but Kade wasn’t about to let them get into the habit of not doing it at all. He wasn’t their maid, and he wasn’t going to do it. Kade didn’t really see Brooklyn as the type to care, so he wasn’t too worried about it. Then, he took a brief glance at his clothing. Faded jeans with a few rips and tears here and there and a black t-shirt. Good, no stains or dirt to where he would have to change. Again, not that he thought Brooklyn would think much of it, nor was he the type that cared to dress up for such occasions. And then it was quite again. He had only just sent the message, but he wished that Brooklyn would hurry it up a little. Yes, he wanted to see her and was anxious to have this time with her, but this cabin being this empty and quite was really starting to bother him. It just looked deserted, and ultimately kind of creepy. His mind went back to the campers, him wondering if they had killed one of their own yet, or if there had been any other type of injuries or casualties this long into the trip. It hadn’t been long at all, but with those guys, one never knew. It seemed that his wonderings about the campers took up the time that he was waiting for Brooklyn to arrive, which he didn’t notice until he heard a light knocking on the cabin door. Kade walked over to the door and opened it, a smile already on his lips as his hazel eyes lay their sights on the wonderful Brooklyn McKenzie and all her beauty. ”Hey there, pretty girl,” he said, a hint of playfulness in his voice. ”Glad you came.” Of course. Kade reached his hand out for her to take, him wanting to pull her in close to him and just enjoy being able to hold her against him without worrying who was around and who might see.

As Brooklyn was awaiting ever so patiently sitting on the ledge, she couldn't help but wonder what Kade was thinking right now. She knew that he would probably tell her anything that was bothering him at the time, unless it would make her worry or something. Which she didn't want him to think that. She also didn't want him to not be able to tell her something, because she would understand though she can get pissed ocassionally. She could deal with him having a freakin three year old kid, im sure they can make it through many more things in this relationship. Whatever was going to break them apart would have to be somthing pretty serious, because she didn't see it in their near future. It almost seemed that Brooklyn wouldn't find anyone else like Kade. Someone that she had that exact same connection with. It was unique, and something she wasn't at all expecting to find at this summer camp she dreaded coming to. Yet this year had been way different. She had obviously met Kade, which was the best thing that had happened while she was here. But also, she was starting to have some fun. Some girls in her cabin could be alright, and they had some good times. When the cabins came together for group activities that was always fun too, because there were just more people and the games were more fun. Plus, sometimes she would see Kade and his team, but she didn't do anything, just played along with most of the games they'd play. Although, some of them she just wasn't interested in. Like baseball she pretty much sucked at and mssed the ball most of the time. One time when all the cabins were playing against each other, she just picked up the damn ball and threw it, walking as she pleased to the first base. Nobody said anything, most of them just. It was good times.
If Kade was here right now that meant that the yellowstone boys were gone out either on their own, or with another councelor. She knew most of the kids, and a lot of them were pretty crazy, and wild. While some other ones were responsible and she could see them taking control and making the camping trip pretty fun. She had only been camping in an actual tent type of setting once, when she was around five. She barely remembered it, but knew that her and her dad were at the beach mostly all day, swimming and fishing and stuff. Then when they would return back to the camp site her and her mom would make some hamburgers and such, and smores. It was the typical camping adventure, and pretty much a good time. But out here, she didn't know what they would do out there. Probably do stupid guy things, that girls didn't find amusing or funny, but really if that's what they wanted to do then go for it. Overall, this whole camping experience would be the one she'd prefer. Actually staying in a warm cabin, that was definately more safe from bugs then the annoying tents. There was no risk of rain getting into your tent, and waking you up in the middle of the night. Plus, if a bear decided to attack you or eat your food, you'd have more time to hide. She was still wondering whether or not she was coming back to this camp next year. She was probably too old, but if she did something else to get her into trouble then maybe she just might have to get here. It was always constant trouble for Brooklyn, but the problem was that no one that she cared for had told her to stop, and try obeying the rules 'cause in the long run it won't do you any good. Teachers have told her, authorities of any sort, police, but no one that could actually change her mind. That's all she needed. Some might find her complicated, but it only takes some patience and the right person to understand her.
Finally, Kade had opened the door to greet her. Actually, it had only been like ten seconds, though it felt like forever. Most likely because she wanted to see him that much. Whatever this boy was doing to her, was working. She found herself wanting to talk to him or just be in his presence whenever there was a dull moment, or at any time really. Finally now was the time and she wouldn't waste it. "”Hey there, pretty girl,” The boy had said to her. Immediately, a smile lit up her face as she leaped off the ledge she was rested on, and walked towards him more. ”Glad you came.” She heard him say. And with that, his hand was put out in her direction. Brooklyn reached out her hand to lace their fingers together. "Obviously." She said, with a grin on her face, as a quiet laugh escaped her lips. Once he had led her completely into the cabin, she turned in his direction. She was really happy to be here at the moment. The girl, who was still holding his hand, stood on her toe's, and placed his hand on her lower back. She was just a couple centimeter's from his face, before she shifted her head in a different direction, and she stood back at her normal height. Oh, sike. But really something had caught her attention. More like, nothing had caught her attention. Suprisingly this cabin was a lot cleaner then the girl's. By far. All over the girls were hair priducts, make-up, perfumes, and tons and tons of clothes. If you ever needed to borrow something all you had to do was look on the floor, and yell what you were about to use. "Duude." She said, wide-eyed. "Suprisingly this place is a lot neater then ours." Brooklyn stated, matter-of-factly. She realized that she had just left him hanging there, and that made her smile even more. For some reason she had just found it amusing. "Oh, im sorry." She said with the smile on her face still lingering there. She slid her arms up and around his neck, before slowly leaning in for the final task. She sure was being somewhat of a tease tonight. She can have her moments. The kiss had finally been broke after a good minute, so he could actually say something. Her hands had released her hold on him, and rested on his chest until further notice.

Kade was responsible. He always had been. It was usually a trait found in the oldest sibling, it seemed, because whether they liked it or not, they were responsible for their younger siblings whether they liked it or not. Kade had never really gotten a chance to know what it was like to be the only child. He and Jared were barely a year apart, and then Hunter and followed after Jared with the same short amount of time between them. Every since Kade could remember, he had had two younger brothers, and while he wasn’t that much older than either of them, he was still the oldest, and that gave him certain responsibilities. No one ever pulled him aside and told him that he did, and he was never taught to be this way. It was just something that was understood. He was the oldest, therefore it was his job to look out for the younger two and to be responsible for them. When they were little, it was him who had to be fearless when the other were afraid of the dark. He was the one that talked them through storms and watched out for them when they would walk to the bus stop every morning. Kade made sure that they didn’t get picked on by the bullies, and if anyone dared mess with his brothers, there would be hell to pay. That was the role he played, and one that he didn’t even have to think about. It was a good personality characteristic that he possessed, and one that had probably helped him land his job as counselor at this camp this summer. Though, he wasn’t proving to be too responsible, was he? He let his campers bend and break the rules all the time. He helped them bend and break the rules. He was the one that was sending them out in the wood alone, and he was also the one that was currently breaking rule after rule with Brooklyn. For one, he was dating her. For two, he was allowing her inside the boys’ cabin, which girls obviously weren’t allowed in. Yeah, Kade had been pretty responsible once upon a time, and still was when he chose to be, but right now he really didn’t care about the responsibility of maintaining camp rules. As far as he was concerned, everyone was having a good time, and that was all that mattered.
Opening that cabin door and seeing Brooklyn there was like opening the door for a refreshing breeze. It seemed that no matter what was on his mind or what kind of day that he was having, just one look at this girl and Kade was able to relax and think that maybe it wasn’t so bad after all. Whatever it was at that moment. That’s what the girl did for him now. Though there really wasn’t any pressing matter on his mind and for once he didn’t have a dramatic tale to tell her, he still felt this sense of ease wash over him, him totally comfortable with her as he always was. That was the best part about this. With Brooklyn, he didn’t have to be anything special. He didn’t always have to be the big strong jock, or the funny, sarcastic outgoing guy. He could be himself, totally and completely without any sort of expectation. When Brooklyn took his hand and let their fingers lace together, Kade felt the smile widen on his lips. It was unbelievable how great and free that simple little gesture was. There was no strain, no wondering about who might see. It was them, and they had an entire night ahead of them to be that way. Kade turned and led her into the cabin, still hand in hand. The door swung shut behind them with a short thumping sound, but that was hardly registered and Brooklyn turned herself to face him, pulling his hand around and placing it at the small of her back. Kade saw that she was standing on her toes, and leaned forward, attempting to make the height difference a little less as her face neared his. This was usually the moment when their lips met, this time hopefully for an earth shattering kiss that they didn’t get to share other times due to the risk of being caught. However, something else seemed to have caught Brooklyn’s attention, and she backed away at the last moment, her blue eyes scanning over the cabin. Of course. Even if the boys weren’t here, they were still managing to interfere with Kade’s night with Brooklyn in some way.
Where some guys might have pulled the pouting thing, Kade simply found it amusing, chuckling lightly as she seemed to be in awe of how clean the boys’ cabin was. It was kind of scary. The cabin only usually looked like this in the off months when there were no campers there to occupy it. That, and when the boys went camping, it seemed. ”It’s only clean because they took all their stuff with them,” he said, having a brief mental image of what the cabin looked like when the guys were there. Kade was a guy that could take mess and not mind, but some times he was pushed too far and made the guys pick up some of their clothes. Or whatever it was that they had left lying around. You name it, they had it. Half of the time, Kade didn’t even want to know what it was that he was stepping around or over. He just went with it, hoping that they would see that they had to clean up a little bit for the common good of all the campers involved. Of course, when Kade said that they could have a party, or when they themselves were planning the party, the place got cleaned up in no time to make room for everyone that would be attending. That was just the way that things seemed to work out in the Yellowstone cabin. Once again, it was bending some rules, a lot of them, actually, but Kade never once blinked at it. Yeah, their party could get busted, and some kids might get into trouble, but that was the risk that you take. Kade didn’t have a problem with a little risk now and then. It kept life interesting.
But, it finally seemed that Brooklyn’s full attention was back on Kade as she slid her arms around his neck. And there it was, one of those earth shattering kisses that they had had so few of. Kade savored every moment of it, taking the opportunity to pull her in a little closer. It was one of those kisses that you never wanted to stop, but when it did you didn’t seem to notice much because you just knew that another one was around the corner, and it could be even better than the last one. Kade and Brooklyn pulled away from one another, her hands sliding down to rest on his chest. ”It’s all right,” he said in response to her previously spoken words, saying that she was sorry for leaving him hanging in that moment before. A playful grin pulled at the corners of his lips. ”Besides, you’ve got the whole night to make for it.” The kiss that followed had been more than enough to make up for it, but there was never any harm in playing and flirting a little. Especially when it could be done so freely and openly, something that felt so fresh and new for their relationship. Kade brought his other hand to her waist and pulled her in just a little closer, their bodies lightly pressed together as he brought his forehead down to rest against hers. He liked having her so close and in such an intimate embrace, and would be quite happy if their free time spent together was nothing more than this. He wouldn’t object to any ideas that Brooklyn had, of course, but Kade wasn’t hard to please. Just a night full of little moments like these would be enough.

Brooklyn had been so caught up in being happy to see Kade, and being in his presence that the fact that he had a child completely slipped her mind. Though as she was given a moment, it did come back as she remembered. Kaydence is what she remembered her name to be. A little cheesy, but she'd keep that to herself for now. I mean, it's obviously meant to be similar to Kade's, but if that's what she likes then go for it. She had nothing against it. Besides, she was named after the city Brooklyn because that had special meaning to her. So obviously Chrissy Madison felt it was important to keep Kade in her heart, so she'd remember him every time she looked at the fatherless child. Which also led to thoughts that she still wanted him back, but she tryed to avoid those. By this point, she trusted Kade with a lot. She knew that he wasn't about to just leave her completely and go be with Chrissy because they have a child together. Even if he wanted too, she was at least pretty sure he would be more subtle about it and at least talk to her and break it to her gently. She hated breakups, and she hated goodbyes. Those two things had to be horrible, yet they came to her a lot. Normally she was the one to break the hearts, but goodbyes are something she had dealt with a lot; it sucked. She didn't want to be the girl to break Kade's heart though. Really, he had been nothing but good to her and he cared for her a lot. As of now, there was no reason to end this thing they had going on and she had no intentions of doing so. If he did on the other hand, well that would just suck. Brooklyn did feel, however, things with them were headed in a good direction. They'd last for a while in her opinion.
She heard Kade speak softly. "It’s only clean because they took all their stuff with them,” She nodded simply, her eye contact lingering over the cabin before looking directly into his once again. Their eye contact was never awkard. Though some always want to look away every couple of seconds. With her, she never had that urge to look away. Something about him, it had that effect on her and she actually loved it. How much stuff do guys really have. I mean, with girls they have all the accesories and make-up, and tons of clothes. In her cousins room, most of it is video games, some clothes and other stuff she didn't bother trying to figure out what it was. But I guess the stuff that they had would keep them occupied while camping outdoors. Though, she didn't see any electronics but a few laptops in this room. What's the point of camping, when you have sources of electricity. Not like she was an expert, but as far as she knew that wasn't the point. Oh well, whatever they want. It's their trip. For her, probably half of her bag would be stuffed with bug spray. She hated bugs, they were so obnoxious and she didn't see a point in having them. Butterflies and such she didn't mind. That was until they flew on her or make contact with her in any way, then she would mind. Sure, most girls hated bugs but whatever, she had her reasons and im sure they had theirs. Obviously there would be a lot of clothes. Not really hiking clothes or anything of that sort but most likely a couple different pairs of boots at least, and lovely jackets. The necesseties of a young girl camper.
Their focus was now directed on the topic that was before hand. The way she kind of dodged the kiss without noticing. Of course, she had made up for it, but still it was quite amusing. ”It’s all right,” She had heard Kade say in return of the simple apology. The corners of Brooklyn's lips curled up into a small smile, as she made sure to keep the eye contact they were now sharing. It was like they didn't even have to talk, but what fun would that be, right. "So, when are the campers supposed to be back? She asked Kade, raising her eyebrows as she swayed side to side slowly. What kind of camping trip would it be if they didn't stay out all night. A lame one. She didn't know what their plans were for tonight, but she'd rather stay here then in her cabin. Just because. She'd obviously rather be with Kade, then anyone else here at this camp. " 'Cause I was thinking I could.. stay here for the night?" She asked, her voice suddenly changing to a sweeter tone. It was harder to turn down a sweet innocent sounding girl in most occasions. She wasn't suggesting anything, though there were obviously tons of beds in here. She might not want to know what had been on those beds or what kind of stains there were, but she'd ignore that fact for now. If Kade howevere thought it would be a bad idea, she'd understand. Dating a camper was one thing, but having one stay the night was another. Especially if there were no other campers there, and it was just the two of you alone. Who knows what the other councelors might think, and other punishments might be taken care of. But they didn't care about the rules now, so who said that was going to change.
The kiss had been pretty good in her opinion. She was actually kind of sad that they didn't get to have as many of them that they should. I mean, it was rude to keep them all hidden if they were that good. Just not fair, actually. "Besides, you’ve got the whole night to make for it.” Brooklyn smirked gently, as she tilted her head to the right slightly. She was not sure exactly what he meant by that, like if only for now or the whole night, but either way she could manage. As long as she was with him now, that was all that mattered to her, and it kept her happy. When Kade pulled her in closer to him, she loved the way it felt. Like he wasn't going to let go of her, she just felt safe and comfortable. Soon enough another cute moment came, as the closeness was matched with his forehead reasting against hers. She closed her eyes only briefly as the smile on her face grew wider. He was so good at this kind of romantic stuff, and she loved it. Reffering back to the statement Kade had made recently, Brooklyn spoke again, softly. "Well, in that case." She said, as she slowly raised her hands to brace both sides of his face. With that she pulled their faces closer together, as their noses touched slightly before the lips made contact once more. This kiss was more playful, yet still lacked no passion. Soon one hand fell from cheek and rested on his side, while the other stayed there momentarily. In means of more comfort, Brooklyn kicked off her black ugg boots only loosing a small amount of heigh, and only pulled back once more from the kiss that they were now sharing. At that moment, Brooklyn stepped closer to him, so that there was no more space in between them at all, and she was most likely pushing him back a little. The kiss continued, and she was enjoying every second of it.

There was a time in Kade’s life that he hadn’t believed in the idea of love, or anything like it. At this point, there hadn’t been anything to have happened to him that would make him believe otherwise. It was just the way he felt. There was just something about it that made it impossible for him to fully comprehend. How is it that two people could really feel that way about one another all the time? It is hard to explain how he had looked at it, exactly, so it is much easier to just say that he hadn’t believed in it. His one real reasoning was that if there was such a thing as love, then why did all the bad things happen? Love was nothing more than a word that people used to get away with things and to make themselves feel better. The idea of love was what got people hurt, and caused them to do stupid things or give up their own life dreams. He jus was not a supporter, and he demonstrated that very clearly by taking up his player ways and earning that sort of reputation for himself. Sure, you could have a bond with someone and care for them, but it wasn’t love. Love didn’t exist in his mind. He would say it his parents just to satisfy them, but that was it. Then, there was that one girl that opened his eyes and showed him what love was and that it really did exist. The idea had sent him running, but he had come back and embraced it, ready to admit that he had been wrong all along. Too bad that he had been right about the part that love was the reason that a lot of people got hurt. In the end, there had been a huge falling out, and because he had loved her, he had felt the pain of that falling out deep down. It had been bad, but he had eventually gotten over it and moved on, but the experience was not in vain. He know knew that love was there, and that you could find it if you looked for it. Kade was no where near ready to say that he was in love with Brooklyn, but he knew that it could very well be a possibility for one day in the near future. What he was ready now was their committed relationship, and just trying to keep it together before they ventured that far into it.
”So, when are the campers supposed to be back?” That was a very good question. ”’Cause I was thinking I could.. stay here for the night?” The sweet tone of Brooklyn’s voice would have been enough to make anyone give into her request, but Kade didn’t need it. Who was he to turn down something like that? Her asking when the campers would be getting back suddenly made more sense, though. ”Well, they’re due back in camp the day after tomorrow, but with that bunch, it’s questionable as to if they’ll ever turn up,” he said with a grin, half joking, but then not really. The state of which his campers would return to the camp, if they returned at all, was something that he couldn’t guarantee to be great. But, the main thing was that they weren’t going to be back for not only one night, but two nights. ”So that means you can definitely stay,” he added, still grinning. If dating a camper was against the rules, he wondered how bad it would be if he were actually caught harboring a female camper in the boy’s cabin. Not that it mattered much to him. He didn’t want to get shipped back to Seattle, but he would do it if that’s what it came down to. The thing about it was that he didn’t want Brooklyn to get in trouble, because God only knew what they would do to her. Kade didn’t want her to go through anymore than what she had to, and he wouldn’t but her into the kind of situation that might present that kind of outcome. This could be seen as one of those situations, but Kade was very certain that they wouldn’t get caught in this. No one would be out looking for him tonight, and Brooklyn was known for sneaking off and not really participating. Besides, Chrissy was the Sequoia counselor, and while things weren’t great between her and Kade, he was sure that if things took a turn for the worse, he could find a way to get Chrissy on his side for this one. I mean, hell, she owed that much to him for keeping his daughter a secret from him for three years. Come on, he was Kade Trent. The master of cover stories when he had his back to the wall.
The whole night. The words sounded good, yet foreign when relating to the two of them. Their relationship was extremely limited, them usually meeting up for a few hours in the night time, but never having a full night to themselves. He had just been teasing when he had said that she had the whole night to make it up to him, but really, she did, and it seemed that she too saw this. Soft words were spoken, and then her hands were at the sides of his face, pulling him in for yet another kiss. This kiss was different from the last, but just as good and passionate. His hands rested at her waist, and stayed there even as she pulled away from him to kick off the boots that she had been wearing. Then, it was like a whole new gear had opened up as she pressed her body against his, reengaging in the kiss and making him take a few steps back to compensate for the force. He grinned into the kiss, one hand remaining at her waist while the other traveled up her back and eventually came to gently caress her neck, his thumb smoothing over the skin off her jaw and cheek. How great was this scene. Perfectly sweet, yet holding an air of playfulness and mixed in with passion. And this was less than five minutes into it, and they still had the whole night before them. Maybe there should be a little more resistance, something to be saved for later on, but right now that didn’t seem to be in their lines of thinking. And really, how could it be? They had been together for a while now, and everyday they were forced to keep their wants to themselves as they went on pretending to the outside world that they were just friends. Now, they didn’t have to hold anything back. When their lips finally pulled away, Kade moved to kiss her neck, tenderly as he let his hand at her waist slide to her hip. Where this night was going, he didn’t know for sure, but he sure as hell didn’t mind where it was at.

Something that Brooklyn actually liked about having this hidden relationship, was building up to when they saw each other. All through the week they would see each other, and obviously not do anything couple esque, they mearly waited for when their time to finally see each other again came. When they did meet up, mostly late at night, outdoors when they had snuck out, they would have a lot of fun. Throughout the day you build up a lot of things to talk about, and you just really want to see the other person. That's how it was with Kade. She wanted to see him a lot obviously, so when she finally did, she was in the best mood ever. He was probably the only reason that the girl actually stayed at the camp. If this whole relationship hadn't of happened there would of been many other things on her mind. Finding a way to escape the camp without anyone noticing was one. Although the councelors would notice after a while, because she wouldn't show up for anything, which wasn't new, but every now and then she would make an appearance to get some food or to watch the people fail miserable at the games or activities that were being played. Things had definately not gone as she expected. Her intentions were definately not to come here to find a relationship with someone. But after she thought about it for a while, it did seem like something she would do. Especially with someone older then her, or restricted. Why she couldn't just get herself into normal situations, she didn't know but that's always how it was with her.
It was like everything was a risk, but she wasn't worried. At this point, she was just happy in general. For now, something always seemed to go bad. There was of course that rough spot. Actually, it was a big deal. Kade had a kid. How she was going to really deal with that, she didn't know. Deep down inside of her, there was that part that wished the kid wasn't actually his. That Chrissy had an affair or something, and the kid wasn't his. But she highly doubted that, because to her, Chrissy didn't seem like the type of girl to do that. She probably wasn't either. From what she saw inher cabin she was pretty nice, which pretty much sucked on Brooklyn's part. If Kade's past was as bad as Brooklyns and if he got into the type of situations that she did, she didn't doubt, then who knows what else he had just waiting to come back and cause more troubles. That was something that she worried about as well. Also, on her behalf. If something or someone came back and caused issues, then she wouldn't know how to deal with it. Some of the people she was involved with or 'friends' with, were definately not good people to do so, and sometimes she regretted what she did. But normally she let it all escape her mind, and just focus on what was good right now. So far, everything was good in the relationship. They had been going out for quite a while now, but in the long run, it didn't seem that long. Hopefully she would know what it felt like, because Brooklyn really liked Kade and it would suck if it ended suddenly.
”Well, they’re due back in camp the day after tomorrow, but with that bunch, it’s questionable as to if they’ll ever turn up,” Brooklyn smiled slightly at the thought. The yellowstone boys were a wierd bunch of kids, in the sense that you never really knew what they were going to do next. This was a different scenario though. She was almost positive that they would stay out there, doing god knows that. They had freedom, and no one cared what they did out there, because nobody could see, and they couldn't get in trouble. It made a lot of sense, they had been under rules for so long, they obviously wanted to break them all, or most of them. Now, she wasn't sure if Kade was going to agree to her staying now because he was in charge of the cabin, and if they got caught there would be a lot of trouble. She was willing to take the risk though. "So that means you can definitely stay,” Her small smile grew larger now. He had actually agreed, and that was pretty awesome. Tonight would definately be a good time. "Wonderful." Brooklyn declared with the grin still on her face, as she rested her forehead against his chest for a second or two. Her arms were now in the back pockets of her skirt, as she glanced around the cabin briefly once more.
The soft touches of Kade's hands were reassuring. She loved the way his hand moved up her back, and she couldn't help but grin though not loosing any contact on the kiss, luckily. It felt right. The whole scenario wasn't fully forced by lust, it was deeper then that. The connection they shared and the passion that was felt, made obvious in the simple touches and the way they kissed. The gently feeling of his hands along her jaw and cheek made the girl melt inside. She didn't know why, but it was always the simple little gestures that she loved mostly. Though anyways was good really, when in a perfect situation like this. Finally they were completely alone, and there was a small risk of getting caught. The kiss that was shared for a while had slowly pulled away, yet she wasn't worried. Right now, the mood was set and she knew this scene wouldn't end anytime soon. She waited for his next move, and once it was made another smile instantly came to her face. The kisses along her neck, always got to her. Brooklyn's head fell backward slightly as he trailed along her neck. She really did love that feeling, but soon it ended, for now at least. Brooklyns hands trailed up Kade's chest, as her blue eyes looked him directly in the eye. Soon enough she just couldn't resist anymore and her lips were now connected with his, and her hand clenched onto his shirt. Now was time for more fun. She backed away slightly, and started to walk slowly backward, keeping eye contact, pulling him along with her. Obviously, the bed would be a much more comfortable spot then standing up, and that was where she ended up. Once the back of her legs hit the bed frame she slowly bend down backward, and layed on her back. Once he had followed the girl, her head rose to meet his again, as one hand rested on the back of his neck, though still managing to deepen the kiss. Oh, how this night could be fun. And to think it was only starting.

Anyone that knew Kade Trent from the past would tell you quite easily that Kade was a known player from way back. He seemed to hold some power over the female population surrounding him, being able to win them over with just one look from his deep hazel eyes and one of those seemingly perfect grins of his. He had a certain confidence about him that the girls fell for, and even when he didn’t win the woman over as easily as he usually did, it never failed that he would win sooner or later. Kade was the guy that was known for getting what he wanted, and it really was the truth. And even though girls knew that he wasn’t going to go for anything that even remotely resembled a committed relationship, they still fell for him anyway, never seeming to mind the using, just so long as it was with him. Kade knew that some were more attached to him than the others were, but he never once gave in to what they wanted. He had been against the idea of falling for a girl, and couldn’t see the point in just staying with one when there were so many more out there. The odds were that he wasn’t going to meet that girl that made him want to settle down and get married and all that in high school, so why waste the time with relationships when he could be out having fun and enjoying life? There were no outside influences that had started this kind of thinking within his mind. Kade had just started out like that, losing his virginity at the young age of fourteen and never once blinking at the idea of it. Kade was a very strong minded individual, and made a lot of his choices on his own. Once something like this was set in his mind, then that was it. He was stubborn, and refused to give in to others’ ways of thinking without some damn good reasoning behind it. And believe me when I say that him giving in to something like that rarely happened at all. But, there were a few times when he was proven wrong in his way of thinking, such as in the idea that love couldn’t really exist. There were other times, though, that Kade did give in, but only because he didn’t have the heart not to.
Being in a relationship with Chrissy Maddison was one of those times. When the two of them first met, Kade immediately saw her as the friend type, and just the friend type. She wasn’t going to be one of those girls that fell for him and would settle to be a one night stand. She didn’t even seem like the type of girl that would fall for a guy like him at all. That made her safe to keep as a friend, and for a while that was what they were. Chrissy was easy going and easy to get a long with. She fit right in with Kade, his brothers, and his friends, and they were all a recognized fixture in their high school. Where one was, the others weren’t far behind. It was a good set up, but good things always come to an end, right? At least, that seemed to be a theme in Kade’s life. Kade’s brothers started saying little things, all hinting to the fact that Chrissy had indeed fallen for Kade after all. Kade ignored them, thinking that they were just his idiot brothers and that they were doing it to pick at him. Then, a few of this friends started with it, too. At first, Kade assumed that they had just picked it up from his brothers and that they were all in on the joke, but when Chrissy started doing some subtle things to hint at it herself, he knew that it wasn’t a joke. He didn’t know what to do at first. Kade didn’t want to break the poor girl’s heart and tell her that there was just no way in hell that he could do something like that, but he also didn’t want to hurt her later on by showing her that he couldn’t do it. In the end, he decided that it would be better to let her in instead of push her away, and they started dating. That came as a massive shock to the entire student body of their old high school. Kade Trent had a girlfriend. The first thing that everyone said was that it would never last, and Kade had been the first to agree with them, but as time went on, that wasn’t so true anymore. He and Chrissy got along well. They had seemed good together, and lasted much longer than anyone had expected. While Kade’s whole heart wasn’t into it, he had to admit that he was rather fond of the girl, and had hated to see her leave when she had. But, as soon as she was gone, he put her in the back of his mind and went back to the old Kade that everyone had known; the player that could be depended on to love and leave a girl in one night.
That kind of behavior would go on with him for another year or so. Then, a girl would step into his life and tame the boy, making him see that love was there and that it was worth looking for. He was as loyal to her as anyone every could be, his heart fully in the relationship and being committed like he never had been before. Of course, when that relationship went up in flames, he resorted back to being the player Kade, and that was how it had been ever since. Kade was faithful once in relationships, but once he had nothing holding him back, then, well, nothing did hold him back. That may sound horrible and make Kade seem less that appealing, but that was how he was and he didn’t see it changing anytime soon. Some might not really believe him to be that way, seeing as he is kind and sweet as he is when he decides to show that bit of his heart, but that part of him was still there. However, now that he was with Brooklyn, the player part of his personality was put away, him completely devoted and committed to her. The more time that he spent with her, the more he was seeing that she was everything that he could ever possibly want in a girl. She was funny, and smart and sweet. Not to mention outstandingly beautiful with gorgeous blue eyes that he could get lost in. With her past being similar to his, she could relate to him in a way that very few could, and she understood the things that he had done in his past without a word, just as he did with her. They both had done things that they weren’t proud of, and still had things that they were dealing with, but they accepted it and still wanted to be with one another anyway. What they had was something that Kade hadn’t been expecting to find at this camp when he had signed on for his counselor job, but he was more than glad that he had found her. Without Brooklyn being here, the camp wouldn’t be half as interesting, and he certainly wouldn’t have put as much effort into it as he was.
A grin pulled at the corner of his lips once again as he felt Brooklyn’s head fall back slightly as his kisses trailed along her neck. The neck always seemed to be a weak spot, and Kade loved it when he could find one of those and feel a girl melt in his arms. Those kisses soon came to an end as Brooklyn and Kade pulled away, Kade finding his hazel eyes looking directly into her blue ones. Her hands trailed up his chest, a little touch that Kade loved, not that he would admit it. It was the little touches that he was a sucker for, them always having a way of driving him toward the edge and pulling him in even more at the same time. She then leaned in for another kiss, Kade’s lips connecting with hers once again as he felt her hands clench to his shirt. God, if he had known all this would happen, he would have sent those campers out on a camping trip a long time ago. It seemed that a perfect mood had been set around them. There was a stillness, and in that stillness there was something like a security. There was no one else there but them. The night was theirs to do with what they pleased, and they were certainly going to take full advantage of it. Their kiss was broken again as Brooklyn pulled away and started to walk backward and pulled him along with her. Kade knew what she was doing before they even got to the bed, but once they were there he let himself follow her downward movement to the bed. He came to where he was easily positioned above her, which seemed to be what she wanted. Her hands were placed at the back of his neck, and they were once again engaged in another deep kiss. That was it, the campers were just going to have to stay gone. There was such an intensity between them, passion fueling their movements rather than the lust that was more easily found in these sort of situations. Kade’s lips moved with hers, deepening the kiss and letting it become more passionate with each moment that it lasted. One hand still remained at the side of her face while the other held her at her side, him wanting her closer.
If this was the start of the night, then there weren’t a lot of options as to where it would be going. Of course, Kade would be more that satisfied to keep something like this going. He wouldn’t care if this was just something that was resulting from a heat of the moment sort of deal, and they just spent the rest of the night in each others’ arms while they slept or talked or whatever they chose to do. But, if things progressed from this point, he certainly wouldn’t be disappointed. While Kade did have a reputation for being the player type, he was never one to push himself onto a girl and force to her to do something that she didn’t want to do. That just didn’t sit right with him, and it never would. When Kade was with women that he wasn’t dating, he generally knew that they were willing to have sex, because otherwise they wouldn’t have gone along with him in the first place. When it came to women that he was dating, things were different. There was always the thought in the back his mind that just because they thought he wanted to go there, they would go there just to make him happy when they weren’t really ready for it at all. That was something that didn’t sit right with him, either. If they wanted to wait, then he would wait too. It was as simple as that. Kade finally broke the passionate kiss that he and Brooklyn had been sharing, him only pulling away enough so that he could look down into those pretty blue eyes of hers. With the hand her cheek, he gently stroked the smooth skin there. What he was looking for, he didn’t exactly know. He was hoping for something to let him know where this was going, to let him know where she was and where they could be. Even while looking for that, he couldn’t ignore how sweet this moment; a moment unlike any other he had shared with anyone before because it was a moment that he was sharing with her.

There were occasions where Brooklyn wondered what would happen to the two of them once camp ended. It all seemed to good now, they could still sneek away and be together at nights or when they weren't supposed to be anywhere. It was like they had forever but in reality it would all come down to the end of the camp. When the day, that was coming soon, would come where everyone would head home, they had a decision to make. She lived in California, and he lived in Seattle. They could either have a long distance relationship and try to see each other every chance they got.. which wouldn't be that hard for Brooklyn. If it convinced her aunt and uncle that she was staying out of trouble, maybe they would buy her way over to Seatlle for a bit. But still, there were chances that neither of them would be able to travel for a really long time and that definately wasn't good. If there was some sort of a miracle, that would help. This had to happen, right when they promised they wouldn't move anymore. At least until she was at University. The other choice would to be to breakup, or go on a 'break'. But still, with that choice it was something that Brooklyn definately didn't want. She really liked Kade, and he was much better then any other boyfriend she had, and she didn't want it to end for a stupid reason such as this. She could deal with whatever was thrown at her, that much was for sure. She was pretty certain that Kade could aswell. They were broth tough, and since being through a lot, they could deal with situations better then some others.
However there were certain things that she truly missed about California. She missed the actually decent people that she saw at the beach almost every day. They were always doing something along the same lines of the day before. Mostly a big group would go down to the beach, early in the morning because the best waves come then, and surf until lunch. Brooklyn normally joined them, even if the boys thought they were better, she loved showing them up. At lunch all of them and if anyone had a boyfriend or girlfriends, who was watching or tanning while they were surfing, they would all head down to the food shack. A really cute local place set right on the beach, with extremely good food. The owner, Sam, normally knew what they all wanted and just brought it over to the group when they entered. And soon eventually after that, they would all head back out to the water again. It was an awesome way to spend the summer, and she never once got bored of the surfing. Every now and then Sam would even hold surfing competitions and all the good surfers around they part would sign up. Most of the time it was only for fun, other times Sam would give prized. Nothing big, mind you. Maybe a free dinner, or a free smoothie. His smoothies were always the best to. Now Brooklyn couldn't wait to go home, yet she didn't want to. The situation was really tough, and she wanted to show Kade where she lived, and how she normally spent her summer days.
Now, it was obvious that neither Brooklyn or Kade were virgins. And by the looks of it, it seemed that it was going to head in that direction again. Normally she wasn't one to stop it if the passion and such was this high, and tonight she was going to do the same. She didn't know whether or not Kade had actually done anything of that sort while at camp, and she hadn't gone to the extreme this year. She may have fooled around and stuff, but never to the farthest level, at least this year. Last year was a different story, but it wasn't the same as this. In the midst of all her thoughts, Kade had broke the wonderful kiss that they were sharing. She wasn't quite sure at first what he was doing, he was mearly just looking her in the eye. After a while it seemed that she kind of caught on, if not then oh well. She had came to the conclusion that he was trying to see if she really wanted to take it to that next level. Never had any guy actually done that, they just kind of went with it and hoped she didn't reject them. That made her realized, just how much better Kade was then any guy she had ever been with, or just had a benefitial relationship with. Kade was more sincere and she could tell that he was dedicated to her, which she loved. It made her feel so good. It was time that she showed him how much he now meant to her. She locked their eyes in the stare he was holding for a few more seconds, before pushing his shoulder back slightly, until they had completely switched positions. As she re-focused their eye connection, her hands slid up to her zipper, in which she pulled down slowly. This was the beginning of a good night.
