It was her first day and already she was alone, and hugging her knees close to her chest. She supposed that it was her own fault that she wasn’t very social, but hey, she tried when she felt up to it. Though sadly, her summer would probably be worse than she thought it would, after all, her parents sent her away to Camp, and Jack wasn’t there with here, which killed her emotionally. Jack, sad to say, was like Toby’s security blanket, she hated going anywhere without him. Allowing her blue eyes to open before she shifted herself to stand, the girl took in a deep breath and smiled to herself. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, as long as she pulled herself out of the shy state she was in. Maybe she could have friends, or at least try to make some…
Moving herself across the shore, she leaned down, finding a few smooth and flat rocks, before she picked them up and moved to stand on a larger stone in which, at first, she nearly slipped off of. With a little scream, she laughed and then shook her head, looking up at the sunset before she took in a big breath and then closed her eyes. Once she had found herself in drowning in relaxation, she let those optics fly open before she moved to toss one of the rocks, watching as it skipped across the still water. There wasn’t much a breeze tonight, which was odd, because usually when she was out at the time there was always a breeze, though she could feel a few strands of her hair fluttering and shifting with what little wind came past her.
Toby Romance, odd name for a girl isn’t it? Well, she liked it, though no many people actually knew her first name since they all insisted on calling her “Panda” A nick name she had gotten when she was very, very little. Shaking her head as she remember her friends, Toby laughed and then moved to skip another rock. This whole summer was going to be different, without Jack, and without her friends… Hell without Linkin and Max, her two dogs. Linkin was a Pug, and Max was a large husky. Moving slowly the girl pushed her hair away from her face before slipping down to sit on the large rock, looking out at the water, before she started to chew on her inner lip. Tapping her nails on the rock before she looked down at her pale legs, and then over to her tattooed arm.
She loved the art of her tattoo, the underwater life, with her mermaid and everything. It was such a color piece, she was glad that she had gotten it done. Rolling her cold fingers over the flesh in which the ink was permanently placed within each little pore, she blinked, rather slowly actually.. What the hell was she going to do? Already Boredom was setting into her mind. Though she was thankful that she wouldn't be alone for too long, after all, the only friend had really made here, Jack Young, was supposed to meet up with her there. Thank god for Jack, she would have died out there without him to keep her company.
