I'm through with standing in line
To clubs we'll never get in
It's like the bottom of the ninth
And I'm never gonna win
This life hasn't turned out
Quite the way I want it to be
Everyone wants to be something more then they are. Everyone
wants some great big dream to come there way that will make them
happy. Something that will make them known to the rest of the
world. Something to make them famous. They want to be celebrities
to the world. They want to shine in the spot light, and be known by
name and name alone. They want to have the glam and the glory.
Can they handle it?
I want a brand new house
On an episode of Cribs
And a bathroom I can play baseball in
And a king size tub big enough
For ten plus me
Hollywood for as long as anyone can remember is the place you go
to try and make it big. Ninety percent of all people who come here
for fame leave with crushed hopes and dreams. Not anyone can be
a celebrity. You have to have talent, you have to have ambition. You
have to have a size two body, great legs and know how to work for
your money.
I'll need a credit card that's got no limit
And a big black jet with a bedroom in it
Gonna join the mile high club
At thirty-seven thousand feet
So why is it that everyone wants to be in the spot light? What is so
appealing about being chased by paparazzi and screaming fans?
What is so great about going out with friends or family and not
being able to enjoy your time because every other person is asking
you for your autograph? What is so great about handing over ever
ounce of privacy you have ever had?
I want a new tour bus full of old guitars
My own star on Hollywood Boulevard
Somewhere between Cher and
James Dean is fine for me
So what do you think life is like for those who do not want to be in
the spot light but are. People who did not have a choice but to be
known all over the world. People who have been in tabloids since
before they were born and will continue you to stay there. What is it
like being the child of a celebrity. Never knowing privacy. Never
getting to be a normal teenager or getting to do something without
the whole world knowing about it. Is being a celebrity everything it
is cracked up to be?
'Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We'll all stay skinny 'cause we just won't eat
And we'll hang out in the coolest bars
In the VIP with the movie stars
Every good gold digger's
Gonna wind up there
Every Playboy bunny
With her bleach blond hair
Welcome to the world of celebrity children. Where lives never get
the chance to being and nothing is a secret.
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar
