Bring the Partay to YellowStone!! Caleb and a couple other guys from the cabin had decided that they were going to have a party. The counselours had there party at the lake this night, so known of them would be around till atleast 1am. Expectingt he kids would behave, ha, that was funny. Caleb along with a couple of the guys spent there free time getting ready for the party, getting ahold of what they needed and perparing.
Finally everything was ready. The word had been spread about the yellowstone party, and Caleb had been sure to tell Reid. He was hoping he would come by. The cabin had some food, drinks, including beer and music. The counselours wouldn't hear the music becasue they were to far away,so it was ok to have.
Caleb chilled on his bed, downing another beer with a couple guys. It was his third already, he was only slightly drunk, while the other guys just caved in to fast and were already rambling and acting stupid. Caleb laughed and waited for the people to show up the song No.5 by hollywood undead played through the speakers of Calebs stereo he brought. It wasn't hue so it easily fit in his bag. now they just needed to party people.
Lets fight, for our Right, To partay!

Pippa giving up the chance to party was like a drug addict putting the needle down. Impossible except under a few circumstances, and tonight, there was no circumstance, so Pippa was ready to go to her favorite cabin, Yellowstone. She was just ready to dance the night away and have fun with a few people, girls or guys, didnt matter to this young lady. Ha, if she could even be considered a lady at parties. She was definately not the drunk at parties, more the tramp at them, but oh well.
She took another look in her mirror at Sequoia cabin, checking that her eyeliner was just right around her piercing blue eyes, her red lipstick noticeable, just like the girl was. Hard to miss, though she could never be missed easily. She had a peculiar look and she was anything but quiet. Most hated her, some loved her, there were barely any people inbetween. She smiled at her reflection and headed out her door, walking in the dirt towards the Yellowstone cabin.
Pippa was wearing her dark denim mini-skirt with a red halter top. A cute outfit, maybe a little slutty, but her red ballet flats brought the sluttiness out of it. Or so she thought, and screw anyone who called her a slut. She knew she wasn't really, maybe a whore, but she wasn't necessarily a slut. OK, so she probably couldn't deny an accusation like that if she was at a party, but oh well. What she knew for sure was she was no drunkie. She didnt usually have much to drink. Maybe one beer, but that was usually the extent of it.
She soon reached the Yellowstone cabin, and just walked in. Of course she didn't knock. She had been around this camp long enough to learn she didn't knock. Well, if it wasn't a party, she would knock on a guy's cabin, not a girl's, but no matter what cabin was having a party, she normally didn't knock, and she didn't much care if someone got pissed because of it. Anyone who knew her learned to deal with it, and normally it didn't bug people. It meant they didnt have to move. "Hey, hey loves. How's it going?" she said with a smile, pretty much announcing she was here.

Reid had said he would come by to one of the parties, hadn’t he? And, since he was a man of his word, especially to a boy like Caleb, Reid would, indeed, come by. It would be useless to sit in the mammoth cabin all by his lonesome and listen to everyone else having fun, anyways. Not to mention it would be pathetic-- surely Tessa would be there, which was a plus, and obviously Caleb, which was the main reason he was actually worrying about his appearance, meaning he was probably already late. Actually, recalling what Caleb had said, there was probably no set arrival time, so he didn’t have to worry about it. Either way, Reid was done trying to fix his hair any further; it would do, he supposed. It would have to.
The redhead had changed from earlier, and he was now clad in a pair of tight, charcoal grey jeans, a light blue, fitted tee shirt, and a pair of worn, abused black converse with cookie monster shoelaces-- yes, I said cookie monster. Of course, they were so dirty and nearly black that the design didn’t matter, it looked like a random blue and brown blur anyways, a bit of black lettering smeared around the material here and there. Besides, no one would be looking at his feet, it didn’t really matter. Hell, no one would be looking at him at all, probably, so Reid wasn’t exactly sure himself why he was fretting so much on his appearance. Oh right, Caleb. Eh, knowing the Yellowstone reputation, he wouldn’t have to worry about Caleb’s vision being clear enough to see who it was anyways. Though the red hair would give it away. Probably. Either way, Reid wasn’t really worrying about it anymore as he closed the door to his cabin quietly, hoping not to wake the lazy, pansy-ass boys that were already asleep in their bunks.
Giving his hair once last primping, adjusting the pastel-coloured, blue headband accordingly, Reid inhaled the fresh pine air surrounding him as he stepped up to the doorstep-like part of the ‘happening’ cabin. Knocking was probably completely overrated in the given situation, so he just gave the door a soft push open and examined the scene before him. Sure enough, there were drinks, ditzy people already tripping over rugs or invisible things, and music-- loud music. Of course, that was always Reid’s favourite part about parties-- the loud, usually unnecessary rap, music.
Speckled grey irises searched closer, attempting to find Caleb right off the bat in the crowd, just give him a heads up that he heeded his own word and came. Maybe Caleb would remember, if he wasn’t too bolstered, like some of his cabin mates, yet. Either way, he’d probably stick around, look for Tessa or someone like that; someone that could hold his attention without offering him beer or something silly. Of course, he wouldn’t blame Caleb for doing just that, he doesn’t know. And Reid wasn’t planning on telling him until it was necessary. Not that it would really matter, anyways.
Reid had, clearly, let his thoughts wander, though quickly gathered himself and glanced at the cabin door as it shut behind him. The pungent smell of liquor greeted him and he wrinkled his freckled nose slightly, shaking it off and heading deeper into the crowd. For such short notice, a lot of people showed up. It was, quite honestly, impressive.

Caleb sat on his bed in a pair of tight black jeans, a pink studded belt and a green shirt with the words Your #1 on my to do list Yes the shirt was very suggestive, kind of the point. Caleb laughat something one oft he guys said, though it wasn't that funny. A couple people starting coming then he saw Pippa. He knew her from around the camp. She was looking hot. But his mind quickly remember Reid.
"Pippa!" He yelled trying to get off his bed. He walked over to her and gave her a hug. "Cool of you to come love!" He said showing her the table of food and drinks. "Help yourelf" He said walking off again. He looked around, his drunken friends falling off the bed. He rolled his eyes and took another drink of his beer.
He heard the door open once more and he turned to see who had arrived, it was Reid. His heart skipped a beat. Wow, he was looking good. Caleb had to remind himself to breath. He took a deep breath. His head was wizzing from the beer. He ran over to Reid and threw his arms around his neck. " Hey Red!" He said with a laugh, loving that he called him 'red' instead of 'Reid' with just one simple letter change. Yeah, Reid was about to get a whole lot of drunken Caleb action, he hoped he was ready for it.
Caleb didn't let go of him right away, his face inches from Reid's, he smelled really good. And being the blunt guy he was when he was drunk Caleb said something. "Mmm you smell yummy" He said with a laugh, resting his head on Reid's shoulder for a second. ok so Yummy wasn't his first choice of words but Reid did smell very delicious. He finally let go of him, seeing as his friend were yelling over to him to stop flirting and get his ass back to the party.
Caleb smiled and pulled Reid into the party more lightly by the wrist. "glad you came!" He said happily looking around then back at Reid. "you want a beer? or something to eat?" He asked trying to sound sober, but he was pretty far from it.

Reid licked his lips, wrinkling his nose once more as he ventured further against the people, a few taking advantage of his distant state by dancing against him. Of course, once he actually realized that someone’s abdomen was grinding up against his, he made a face and shoved them away, dashing away from the most likely drunk party-goer. Now you see why Reid doesn’t really do parties? If not, you will soon. The seventeen year old’s gaze fell on the boy he was looking for, a wide grin spreading across his face. That is, until he watched him greet the girl-- not very sturdy, gold liquid in hand; not surprising. Reid didn’t let it phase him of course, especially when he was watching him saunter in his direction. Sober or not, he was still looking pretty fly.
The small male definitely wasn’t expecting a tackle quite like the one he got, but wasn’t about to complain. Reid’s arms hesitantly returned the hug, giving the taller male a soft pat on the back-- it was half-assed and confused, but it was something. “Er…Reid, it’s Reid,” the redhead corrected him, brow raising. Whether it was his bad memory, Reid’s lack of memorable qualities, his strange name, or the alcohol was really beyond him, but either way, it was odd. He liked the Caleb he met at the creek much better already.
When Caleb didn’t let go, Reid blinked for a few moments before watching him when he pulled back a little. And then presumed to share that he ‘smelled yummy’. “Er…thanks. You do…too?” Not really, he smelled like beer-- at least, his breath did, and that’s what Reid was mainly getting whiffs of at the given moment, so what else was he to base it on? When Caleb let go, Reid glanced to his shoes before finding Caleb’s gaze again. “Er, pretty great party you got goin’ here, huh?” he attempted, shrugging softly. He wasn’t exactly the best at this whole thing, especially when the other conversation occupant is drunk and probably easily distracted.
With the soft tug of his wrist, Reid followed easily, weaving through the few people that stood as obstacles. “Yeah, me too.” Hopefully he will be glad he came, and not disappointed that he’d seen Caleb in his ‘natural habitat’, I do believe he said exactly only that mourning. “Uhm…no, I’m fine, thanks. Maybe later,” he said, nodding slightly, a soft smile appearing on his freckled features. He was probably being too sensitive about the whole thing-- just because he didn’t drink, didn’t mean his friends couldn’t. That was just selfish, and Reid was not selfish.

Caleb knew he was acting like an idiot. He wished he wasn't. But the ber helped him forget aboutt he knots in his stomach he had right this minute, seing Reid. The beer helped forget about bad memories, and let him loosen up a bit. Sure, he was always told not to drink as a kid. But no one ever told him it was so good and helped so much. They must have left that part out.
“Er…Reid, it’s Reid,” Caleb chuckled a bit. Wanting to hold onto Reid longer, but he knew that might creep Reid out. " I know silly, just messing with you" He said tapping Reid's nose lightly with his finger. He set his beer on the table. He was good for an hour before he needed anymore, plus he didn't want toget to bad and have no self control at all. Atleast when he was in state, he knew the difference betwen dangrous and safe. He walked Reid into the party.
“Er, pretty great party you got goin’ here, huh?” Caleb smiled. "Eh, hopfully it will get better. more people should be showing up" Caleb aid biting his lip lightly and looking at Reid. Man he was so cute. He seriously wanted to kiss him, but he had enough common sense not to. that would just be awkward, especially when he was drunk. He would end up not remembring it tomarrow. But Reid's lipsl ooked so inviting. Caleb tried to shake the thought.
“Uhm…no, I’m fine, thanks. Maybe later,” Caleb shrugged. rinking was probably not his thing, boy was a mammoth after all. "Ok suit yourelf love" He said moving his hair from his eyes and looking around. He was so happy Reid was here, and becasue of that he would try and watch his drinking. He knew drinking wasn't Reid's thing, or he guessed atleast. He wanted to be able to spend time with him without being tottaly wasted.
It took Caleb a minute to realize he was still holding into him. Caleb blushed and let go of his arm. "Heh, sorry" He said rubbing the back of his neck. There was the guy Red had met earlier. Of course that wouldn't last long, but being around Reid made him nervous, whether he was drunk or not. "lets sit. I might fall over if I keep standing like this." He walked over to his bed, hoping Reid was following. He shoved his buddy off, who was totaly drunk so didn't even notice. He patted his blue covers with a smile. Hopefully he could come down from his drunk high without passing out and throwing up, that would kind of suck.

Reid wasn’t going to let it get to him; it happened to everyone. And, again, he would remind himself that even though he didn’t like it, doesn’t mean other people don’t. And just because he doesn’t do it, doesn’t mean other people can’t. The world doesn’t revolve around Reid’s silly ‘morals’. And that was the honest truth that Reid would keep in the back of his mind as he watched Caleb set down his cup. Hopefully it wasn’t because of him, he wanted to Caleb to have fun at his own party and he wasn’t about to stand in the way. Later he’d just excuse himself so Caleb can have all the fun with he wants, with all the pretty emo birds that he wanted to. For now, he wasn’t about to think about that.
“Oh, right. Duh, Reid,” he mumbled, laughing softly at his own idiocy. Of course, he hadn’t a clue that he was ‘just messing’ with him, so it was his bad. He should’ve guessed. Caleb wasn’t that gone, Reid was only making him out as such. Bad Reid, bad. Shaking his head slightly, he followed Caleb more open-mindedly into the crowd, digging deeper towards the bunks and couples already having their way with each other in deep, dark corners. Not that anyone would really pay attention-- no one except Reid, of course. He was a strange one, why he even came tonight really was a mystery.
“More?” Reid repeated, almost in disbelief once informed more people would be showing up later. It was already crowded, must there be more visible clutter? Reid isn’t a fan of visible clutter. Either way, Reid made sure to keep track of Caleb through the crowd-- wasn’t hard, though, considering the other male was still holding onto his wrist. Once they’re stopped, and Caleb had realized that, Reid actually found it cute how nervous he had got. And his apology and stutter-like speech. Surely it wasn’t slur. That was the Caleb that Reid liked to be around. Good thing he came out every now and then through the alcohol and apparently addicting golden liquids being passed around. Reid cleared his throat, fortunately inaudible between the people and the music, before glancing back at Caleb as he spoke-- suit yourself, he told him. Oh yes, he would. “Mhmm.” he spoke simply, nodding and following him further towards the scattered bunk beds.
The cabins were identical, though all decorated differently-- this one with plastic cups and people, a few drops of liquid on the ground and clothing items on the ground. Reid shook his head and looked over at Caleb once more. “Sit, yeah, that’s a good idea.” The smell of the alcohol and the perspiration meshing was beginning to make Reid dizzy and sitting sounded very appealing. He was about to ask where he suggested they sit, but he noticed he was being so kindly offered a seat near the foot of what he guessed was Caleb’s bed. “Mm, thanks,” he mumbled, hardly audible, but so for Caleb over the music and their close vicinity. Reid made himself comfortable on the mattress, folding his legs into a pretzel and surveying the cabin from a distance like this one. You could see the majority of the crowd and all of their crazy faces and filled hands. Whatever it may be with, Reid didn’t want to find out.
“So, what is it that all these party-goers do every time?” he asked, probably being able to choose his words more clearly. Deciding to just that, he shook his head and looked dead at Caleb and smiled slightly. “The same thing? I mean, drink, dance, sex? I mean, I’m guessing that’s how it goes.” Everyone in the world would know better than Reid what actually happens at parties-- hell, a two year old would know better than Reid. Especially with media these days, but that’s obviously different. Either way, Reid simply shrugged and looked around once more. His statement could’ve come out rude, but hopefully Caleb knew he didn’t mean it that way-- he was simply curious, a familiar emotion/feeling of the redhead’s.

It took Caleb a minute to navigate around the people, to find his own bed. He could tell his friends were eithier with girls, or guys, couldn't tell it was to dark, but it kind of made Caleb chuckle. He took a seat on his bed and wiated for Reid to join him. He wanted to spend time with Reid, not with all the other drunken freaks att his parties. There would be so many other parties in the future, but how many chances did he get to spend time with Reid.
Reid took a seat on the bed and crossed his legs. Caleb did the same his white pillow propped up behind his back. The music was starting to make his head pount but he tried to ignore it and focus on Reid. “So, what is it that all these party-goers do every time?” Reid had asked, it was so funny to hear. Probably because Reid was so not used to parties. Caleb was about to say something but then Reid spoke again. “The same thing? I mean, drink, dance, sex? I mean, I’m guessing that’s how it goes.”
Caleb shrugged, he pretty much had it down. "Somtimes we drink, have sex then dance. Or drink dance, sex and more danicng and drinking" he said with a laugh. That was meant as a joke. Drinking, dacnign and having sex was pretty much all these parties were for. Caleb played with his fingers in his lap as he moved his gaze from the people dancing to Reid.
Caleb wanted to kiss Reid so badly, it just was so tempting. But Caleb knew it might be because of the beer, so he tried to control himself. He sat up a bit on the bed. Control wasn't working. "Can I kiss you?" He asked almost jumping at his own sentence. what the hell? Did he just say that? Must have been the beer, it makes him a very blunt person. " I...I mean um.." shit this was it. Reid wouldn't be talking to him ever again. " Sorry, n-nevermind, I d-didn't say anything" He said trying to take it back, or turn back time to stop himself. He just met Reid, such a great guy and now he was going to loose him becasue of a slip of the mouth.

Reid examined Caleb’s posture carefully; you could tell the other male had been drinking. He looked as if he was swaying, and it looked to Reid that he was slouching helplessly. Of course, it could just be the lighting and the fact that Reid was dizzy, but he knew that Caleb had been drinking, so he wasn’t about to make up excuses for his swaying or slouching. Again, these are, of course, only things that Reid notices-- it was almost embarrassing how observant the redhead becomes in situations like these, pinpointing everything wrong or a little bit off in his mind. It was so selfish and inappropriate for the party scene, but it flat-out amazed Reid what some of these kids did to themselves, let alone let other people do to them. It was almost shocking.
But then there was Caleb. The sweet, nervous boy when he had first met him, now taking time from his drinking to spend time with little old, pansy-ass Reid. It was a nice gesture, but in the back of his mind, Reid knew that he would be having more fun if he’d left and Caleb could party it up like he usually does. He felt bad, almost, from keeping him away from the scene. “You don’t have to, y’know, stay here. It’s silly that you’re not out there having fun because of me. Seriously, I should probably go anyways, I’m not contributing to anything,” Reid rambled, shrugging softly as he shifted slightly. He was going to move, but then Caleb began to explain the dynamics of partying to him. The same three things, pretty much, sometimes twice, just in a jumbled order. How fun is that five days a week? Okay, apparently a lot, but Reid was yet to learn.
“I see. And that’s fun?” Reid was going to continue his sentence with something along the lines of ‘I wonder how many people around here have herpes!’ but, fortunately, he stopped himself in fears it would come out sarcastic and rude, and Reid just wasn’t either of those things very often. Besides, he was being enough of a party pooper, he didn’t want to bag on what some people, apparently including Caleb, found to be fun. It probably was, just not to Reid. A lot of things were fun to Reid that weren’t to other people, so I was completely acceptable. Again, he was just making a big deal of it.
At least, he thought he was, but then he experienced the definition of no self control. I mean, surely it was the alcohol talking and not Caleb, that would just be silly for him to actually want anything to do with Reid and his lips. But Reid was understanding, he knew what it was like to blurt out things you don’t mean-- everyone lacks that control sometimes, even himself under no alcohol influence. “It’s okay, don’t worry about it, mate. We both know you didn’t mean it, it’s the beer talking,” he said, shrugging calmly, glancing over at the other boy’s vague direction and giving him an assuring smile. It happens to everyone, like I said, and Reid was definitely an understanding individual.

Caleb ran his hand through his hair as a couple people ran past the bed and into a couple other people. wow, was he seriosuly like that at the partis, kind of sad to think about it. Maye it was for the best that he was hanging here with Reid. To much partying wasn't good for a person of his age. Partying always seemed like the solution, but it wasn't, maybe Caleb should learn that.
Reid started talking about how Caleb didn't have to stay here with him. Reid also said he should leave. "No!!" Caleb said, not meaning for it to come out as loud. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, god his head was pounding. "I-I mean. I don't want you to leave. and trust me, I'm having a great time hanging here with you." He really idn't want Reid to leave. He wanted to spend some time with him. It might have been better if there wasn't so many people around them and if it was a bit quieter. Plus the headache wasn't helping. But he didn't want him to leave.
“I see. And that’s fun?” Caleb shrugged. He had sex once or twice. Ha, Caleb a virgin, that was a funny notion, but no. Once he was drunk and the other he kind of liked the girl. But maybe the parties were pretty pointless. " eh, it givs us something amusing to do" He said looking around at everyone then back at Reid with a smile.
“It’s okay, don’t worry about it, mate. We both know you didn’t mean it, it’s the beer talking,” Caleb was looking at the bed feeling quite like a loser for having said anything. but hearing what Reid said, it was like he understood, he was just figuring it was the ber. Wow, saved. " um...Yeah...The beer" He said moving his hair from his eyes and looking at Reid, his face a bit red. He bit his lip lightly and looked at Reid's lips. Oh god, no self control whats so ever. He leaned in and lightly touched his lips to Reid's. Lingering it for a minute but then pulling away quickly and burrying his face in his knees which he pulled up to his chest. " sorry sorry sorry" He mumbled in his knee's as his face grew hotter and hotter. wow, did he feel like a punk ass idiot right now.

Reid’s eyes widened at Caleb’s outburst, his head leaning back slightly. “Okay, alright, I’ll stay. I was just saying, we both know you’d be having more fun with your friends over there drinking,” he said bluntly, shrugging softly. He motioned to a group of boys creating some form of mosh pit, cups spilling a bit from each of them onto the ground. Sucks for the person who has to clean it up. Was it abnormal that that was what Reid was thinking about? Wow, he really was sort of pathetic. Shaking the thoughts, Reid sighed and glanced up at Caleb, giving him a soft smile. “If you’re not having fun, seriously just say something. I won’t be offended,” Reid reminded him, probably beginning to get annoying with this ‘caring gesture’ shit.
Besides, the conversation switched back to the party pastimes, causing Reid to simply nod a bit. “Oh, I see. Makes sense.” No it didn’t. Reid was even more confused. So basically Caleb was saying that having sex and getting drunk was just because the boys needed something to do. Reid would apologize for offending anyone, but it was silly. It was almost stupid. He wouldn’t say anything, of course-- he knows when the truth is inappropriate, especially when it’s only his opinion, and when it’s appropriate. This was a time where it was definitely inappropriate. So he kept his lips sealed, his opinion bottled. It was only polite to not push what he thinks on others who think differently.
Reid was about to open his mouth to speak again, after Caleb had agreed with him the reason of his outburst, but he was caught off guard by the soft-- and, quite honestly, even though he wouldn’t admit it, addictive-- feeling of Caleb’s lips on his own. Before he did anything stupid, fortunately, Caleb backed off and Reid scrambled so he was standing. His eyes were wide, glued to the boy that was curled up slightly. Reid wasn’t even drinking and he felt sick, dizzy, and his head was beginning to throb. It was just a kiss, not a big deal, but Reid hadn’t even kissed many people in his life-- he was the little innocent one that bubble wraps his heart way too carefully. Not that that was meant to mean anything, he was sure, it was all the beer, but still.
“Caleb, I think you should come see me when you’re feeling…” he searched for the proper words-- better, sober, clear? “Like the Caleb I met earlier,” he finished, not meaning for it to sound rude at all, simply honest. “Unless you want me to stay…” he said, leaving the option completely open for him. He would stay, just as long as Caleb didn’t pull anymore stunts like that-- claiming to be out of control or drunk or whatever it was his state of mind was. Caleb surely couldn’t have feelings for the helpless little Reid, and he was drinking, that was all it was.

“Okay, alright, I’ll stay. I was just saying, we both know you’d be having more fun with your friends over there drinking,” CAleb looked over at the craziness which as a group of people drinking and screaming. He shrugged and looked back to Reid. " Nah, im pretty good here" He said with a smile, happy to gt to hang with Reid. He was deifnatly loosing fuel. the beer was wearing off and his head hurt even more, ugh no fun.
“If you’re not having fun, seriously just say something. I won’t be offended,” Caleb shook his head. the boy couldn't get through his mind that Caleb actually was enjoying this. It was a nice change of pace, maybe a bit better then drinking? Definatly safer. "I am, seriously. I don't want you to leave" Caleb kind of muttered the last part. “Oh, I see. Makes sense.” Caleb couldn't help but laugh. " No, actually it doesn't. we are a bunch of idiots with nothing better to do then drink and have sex. Makes no sense whats so ever" He aid with a smile. This cabin was crazy, he knew why he was here though. He one of those idiots that did this just becasue he had nothing else to do. and he felt pretty stupid.
oh god oh god, why had he done that. Reid was going to hate him. Though Reid was one of those guys who seemed like he couldn't hate anyone. He would find a secret way to hate Caleb. Or Caleb would end up hating himself. He kept his face burried, biting his lip hard. “Caleb, I think you should come see me when you’re feeling…” God, curse Caleb and his Bi-Polarness. He felt hot tears in his eyes. What was wrong with him?
“Like the Caleb I met earlier,” The words kind of stung. He was the guy Reid met earlier, but this was also him. A no good 17 year old kid with a drinking issue and a crappy past. Only Reid didn't know that side of him very well yet. Caleb wipped his eyes and looked up at Reid who had jumped off the bed. "I am that guy Reid it's just..." THIS FUCKING MUSIC AND BEER! he screamed in his head. "No, I shouldn't make escuses..." He started bringing his legs down and funny his hand through his hair. " It's not the beer that made me want to fucking kiss you Reid. It was the fact that I actually wanted to kiss you." He said not able to look at him.
“Unless you want me to stay…” Caleb nodded, but didn't look up.His head was pounding so badly. " I want you too. b-but you don't have to if you don't want to. I know this mut be so weird. I-I'm really sorry." He stuttered a bit. Just barely moving his gaze to he could see Reid. Yuor such an idiot Caleb, when will you ever learn.

Reid nodded slightly; if Caleb insisted that he was fine, about three times, than he wouldn’t push it on him anymore. He didn’t want to waste either of their energy on it, it was useless now. Besides, Reid wasn’t about to argue the fact that someone was actually have fun with him in a completely non-sexual way. I mean, his friends have fun with him all the time, but those are usually his closest friends for years now, but this was Caleb-- which says it all in itself in the first place-- and he’d really just met him. Which, mind you, makes the whole situation all the more awkward. But he was going to surpass that-- it was the booze, not Caleb’s ‘urges’. That was just a funny thought in its own-- someone having urges. About Reid. He almost wanted to laugh out loud. It was a pleasant thought, sure; gave his self-esteem a boost, duh; but it just so wasn’t a Reid-like quality.
" No, actually it doesn't. we are a bunch of idiots with nothing better to do then drink and have sex. Makes no sense whats so ever" So at least he knew it, that was definitely a plus. “Well, you know where to find me incase you want to resist the urge to waste your time in such a way,” Reid sputtered, shrugging softly. He mentally kicked himself for using the phrase ‘waste your time’, it was rude and inconsiderate and Reid immediately apologized. “I mean…well, you know what I mean.” So now they each have a slip up, they’re officially even.
It was like just thinking about it created a slightly awkward silence between them, because Caleb was once more silence and reserved in his little cave between his knees. For now; Reid would get him out of it. The redhead settled himself on the edge of the bed once more, licking his lips absently as he shuffled to fold his legs into a pretzel. Finally he arose and spoke once more. His voice was so cautious, a similar grin settling on Reid’s lips. At his mention of excuses, and not making them, Reid nodded-- excuses were bad ideas around Reid, the truth was his preference. If you don’t like it, then tough shit, pretty much. That was what he would say, at least. Of course, what actually came out of his mouth took Reid far aback and he could’ve just fallen off the goddamned bed. But, of course, that was just a feeling, not a concrete force, so he simply stared at him, wide-eyed.
It couldn’t be true, no one ever said that to the little reserved Reid Callahan; he was the one that everyone wanted to talk and be friends with, not kiss and get ‘friendly’ with. That wasn’t Reid, and that was never the people around him-- not ever. “That’s not true, you’re being silly,” he mumbled, shaking his head and looking at the sheets as he picked at them absently. “It was the beer, it’s got your head completely turned around. You don’t even know me, Caleb, maybe you should…sleep, or something. Clear your mind.” Reid was almost certain that to Caleb what he was saying was just a bunch of mumbles, a couple dozen octaves too low for him to actually hear. Reid was fine with that, especially if Caleb was the violent type drunk when he got angry. Of course, he wouldn’t know, so it was only wishful thinking that he had only heard incoherent mumbled from under the layer of slightly messy and untamed red hair.
Reid remembered offering to stay, and he would, but Caleb would have to get his head straight; he doesn’t want to kiss Reid, he never did. That’s just what alcohol does to you; it creates illusions. That was all an illusion, Reid was sure of it. Naïve little boy. “It’s okay, Caleb, seriously. Just…you didn’t want to kiss me, let’s be honest,” he said sternly, eyes rising to find Caleb’s, almost begging for him to agree with him. Why he was so afraid was beyond him; it’s not like they were dating or whatever, or they weren’t really proper friends. Well, they were, but they’d only just met! Surely that had something to do with the awkwardness. Or maybe it was the environment.
Or maybe it was the fact that Reid could actually be falling for him? No, that’s silly, he would never see to that. The redhead’s too careful with his bubble wrapped little heart to fall so fast.

For Caleb to have any common sense right now at a party was pretty rare. He was usually drinking right now. But he was actually liking this time ith Reid more then the booze. But the longer he was going without booze, the more tired and crappy he was feeling. Thats just hat happens to Caleb when he drinks then stops right away.
“Well, you know where to find me incase you want to resist the urge to waste your time in such a way,” Caleb chuckled and nodded. Reid went and tried to correct himself, Caleb smiled. "Ok, that sounds good. I might take you up on that" He said playing with his fingers in his lap. He wanted Reid to know that, that had been an offr to Caleb an he would show up at 11pm one night to hang out instead of drinking. Reid seemed like the only thing that could keep him away from the party and drinking.
Caleb felt the bed move a bit and he looked up to see Reid had sat down again. Thank goodness, it had been a bit weird before. No one seemed to be payng any attention to them, which was good, he didn't want people up in his business. “That’s not true, you’re being silly,” wow, this kid was so naive. he couldn't understand that someone actually liked him as more then a friend. Sure they had only met, but Caleb fell quick and hard for people. Maybe not the smartest way to go though. "Why can't it be true?" He asked absently, he wasn't sure of Reid would answer that question, because it could have been retorical, he wasn't sure.
“It was the beer, it’s got your head completely turned around. You don’t even know me, Caleb, maybe you should…sleep, or something. Clear your mind.” Caleb sighed. this boy, man, just couldn't understand this! "It's not the beer Reid...." He started looking up at him. Ok so maybe this was the beer. When he had booze in his system he often spoke the truth, very blunt about everyting. He didn't mean to all the time, and it usually got him into situations like this one here, but he couldn't help it. "I know I just met you, but....I also know that with the bit of common sense I do have tonight...I did want to kiss you." He said running his hand through his hair, only for it to fall back the way it was.
“It’s okay, Caleb, seriously. Just…you didn’t want to kiss me, let’s be honest,” Caleb was being honest. He wouldn't think of lying to Reid. He wouldn't be able to. Caleb gave Reid a look of you really aren't getting this are you? "I am being honest, I Caleb Ryker, really did want to kiss you. It might not seem that way because of the beer, you think its clouding my thoughts. But at this perticular moment, I have a pretty clear mind and I know what I'm saying" He wasn't a complete idiot, he knew when it was to much beer, and he also had his mind pretty clear right now. He was falling for this boy, but it was quite hard when Reid was so oblivious to it.

Reid fiddled with the end of his shirt slightly, licking his lips softly as he examined the material wrinkling between his fingertips. Usually wrinkling of his shirt of any kind would annoy him, but that was seriously the last thing on his mind. Besides, it seemed that it was his completely sober mind that was foggy opposed to Caleb’s intoxicated one. Funny how things happen with Reid Marcus Callahan, wouldn’t you say? At the older male’s further questioning, Reid looked up at him quickly, still fisting the light blue material of his shirt. Reid’s eyes narrowed slightly, though in a contemplative way opposed to a mean, rude way. “Because it just can’t, okay.” Reid’s logic was never perfectly clear to others, but everything seemed so sound much smarter inside his confused little brain that it did actually spoken. Reid actually was an intelligent boy, he just wasn’t very articulate, was all. His gaze kept carefully on the dark haired boy before him, his fingers tangling over his lap as his head titled to the side slightly, absently and completely unintentionally.
Reid was stubborn when he wanted to be, it was true-- if he really believed something was true, then goddammit it was! A little selfish one would think, but it really wasn’t at all. It was more like fear and/denial most of the time-- shock, surprise, like right now. Reid was about to open his mouth and push his point once more, but Caleb continued to try and persuade him that the beer was not to blame. His fingers left the cool steel of the ring on his finger, soon finding a few strands of his hair as he pushed his palm against his forehead-- the booming music was not helping the cause. It wasn’t that Reid was angry, but he had the random urge to yell at something. Really, if you get to know him, he’s an odd one. The strangest things make him tick, and he’s usually not even angry. Like now; he’s not angry, he just wants everything to be as he says they are.
He untangled his fingers from the soft red strands of his hair, massaging his temples softly before peering at Caleb through the gaps of his fingers. “I bet tomorrow mourning, when you wake up with a pounding headache like the one I have right now, you’re going to realize that you don’t mean that. I promise that you’re going to see me tomorrow and see ‘that kid from mammoth with the red hair’ and that’s it,” he pressed on, eyes narrowing slightly once more. Reid’s hands dropped to his lap, resorting to twirling the silver sing around his finger nervously. “You’re going to be perfectly sober and you’re going to realize it,” he mumbled, nipping at his own lower lip as he went to stand up. Probably a bad idea, though, as the room was beginning to spin and his headache was created a drum-like pounding in his ears. It probably didn’t help that the boy hadn’t eaten for nearly a day and a half, and the faint scent of smoke was attacking his nostrils at the given moment. Forces were just against him, it seemed.
“Air. I need fresh air,” he murmured, tugging at his shirt as he stood up. He glanced back at Caleb, “You’re welcome to come,” he added, a little louder than before. This conversation was clearly not over and he really didn’t want to lose a friendship like his with Caleb over some silly misunderstanding. “Come,” Reid corected, more demanding than an option or anything. Before he waited for an answer, he began out towards the door, attempting to navigate himself through the mad dancing crowd. He noticed that it had definitely grown since he had first arrived, and he had been efficiently preoccupied while everyone seemed to fill in the ‘dance floor’ and even just come in the door.

Caleb couldn't believe that Reid wasn't taking him seriously. Maybe it was becasue he was slightly drunk. Or becasue of where they were. Well, if he was in his spot, maybe he wouldn't believe it eithier. But he wasn't lying and it was getting on his nerves that Reid couldn't understand. “Because it just can’t, okay.” Now Caleb was jsut gettign pissed off. It might have been his Bi-polarness kicking in. He tried to control his temper.
"I don't get why Reid! If I would have done this at any other time. Would you still believe I didn't mean it?!" He said sitting up a bit more, telling himself to calm down and breath. Or his very small fuze would go off. Was Reid like this because Caelb was drunk? Not believing a word of it because of the drunkness. That was bull crap!
Reid started saying that when Caleb woke up tomarrow he would realize he hadn't meant what h said. But that was a lie. He really meant it. "Thats not true Reid. I...I mean what im saying. im not as drunk as you think I am. Sure i'll wake up with a head ache. But the frikkin feelings I have for you won't change" Oh crap did he just say that. Ugh shit this wasn't working the way he had hopped. Kissing the boy was turning everything upside down.
“Air. I need fresh air,” Caleb agreed. the smell in here was not helping his head, or the nausia feeling in his stomach. He heard Reid's comand to 'come' wow. Caleb nodded and stood up. Following Reid out of te cabin. His friends yelled for him to get his ass back but he ignored them. He really just wanted to get out of there. After out of the cabin, Caleb looked around took Reid wrist. Pulling him gently over to a tree a bit away from the cabin so the music was faint.
He sat down under the tree, sighing. "thank god" He mumbled moving his hair from his eyes and looking up at Reid. Tugging at his pant leg to make him sit down. They seriously had to work this out, because Caleb wasn't in the mood to loose a friend like Reid. He jsut really want to make Reid understand how much he liked him, and he would. Caleb would make sure of that.

The fresh air was pleasant, and each of Caleb’s words from inside were still in his mind-- he wasn’t finished talking about that, and now it was silent enough to continue. Once he’d gotten his share of fresh air, the cold now causing his skin to tingle as it was met suddenly with the heated state his skin had been in previously. “Yes,” he said simply, shaking his head slightly. Again, it probably made no sense to Caleb, but it made crystal clear sense to Reid. Reid’s opinions were always strong, and it really didn’t matter to him if you threw a bitchfit at him-- or concrete objects, at that. Either way, Reid was going to stick to the fact that Caleb could have no real feelings for him-- not now, not ever. It’s not like he was really going anywhere, Reid just didn’t trust anyone with his heart. Not ever. His family, sure, that’s an exception, but he had a girlfriend once, and that was pretty much the last straw. If he could, he would literally bubble wrap his heart. Just in case.
“Dammit, Caleb, you don’t have feelings for me!” he snapped, the nicest tone possible lacing with his quick reply. Reid didn’t exactly snap, but his tone wasn’t exactly as quiet and reserved as usual. “You. don’t. have. feelings. for. me,” he said slowly, shutting his eyes loosely and tugging at his shirt more, just to let go and wrap his arms around himself tightly. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think he was going into a mental breakdown or something, but the position was simply an easy way to calm down, warm himself up, now, as the cold was causing goose bumps on his arms, and those didn’t flatter his freckled skin too well. He brushed his palms up and down his skin, attempting to rid them of the goose bumps, then finally snaked them back around himself and looked over at Caleb once more. Reid’s eyes were shaky, his lips pursed, his tongue occasionally poking out to dampen them in the dry cold of the night.
The crickets provided the music for them, and when the redhead felt the soft rug on his jeans, he looked to the tree trunk before unwrapping himself and sitting down besides Caleb-- not too close, but not uncomfortably far either. “It’s cold,” he mumbled, pulling his knees to his chest and resting his chin atop one of his knee caps. His intention of coming out here with Caleb was to talk about what happened, but now he just wanted to sit and listen to the water, the crickets, the faint clapping of what sounded like thunder from the distance-- there would probably be a small shower that night, wetting the grounds for the following activities. Just what Reid wanted now-- rain.

Taking a seat under the tree and took a deep breath of cold crisp camp air. It smelled faintly on fire, or something burning, not sure what. He rubbed his head and then set it back against the tree. Reid was driving him insane. He couldn't understand how much he really meant what he was saying. “Yes,” So he seriously wouldn't believe it if Caleb had said it when he was 100% sober. Why does he assume no body can have felings for him.
He closed his eyes for a minute, sitting in quiet, listening to the crickets and the faint music a bit away. He liked it out here way more. “Dammit, Caleb, you don’t have feelings for me!” Sure he had said it quite nicely, but it still sounded cold and heartless. How the hell could he tell Caleb that he didn't have feelings for him. "Why the hell can't I!?!" He snapped, it wasn't nice like Reid's snap had been. this was Caleb Bi-Polar side kicking in. "Why can't I like you Reid! Amd why won't you understand that I do?" He said, again, not sure if he would get an answer for the question he had just asked.
Caleb had never had a serious girlfriend, and definatly not a boyfriend. So these feelings were so new to him, especially because all he had ever felt was hatred to the man who stole his virginity. And now he was feling something, it was good though, made him feel like he could walk away from his past. These feelings were definatly linked to Reid. As much as he wanted Reid to understand this, he knew he never would. and it was down right pising him off, that he couldn't find words to describe it.
"I can have these feelings if I want Reid. You can't tell me I can't. I sure as hell don't know what the feelings are though," He said trying to calm himself down. He hated people telling him how he felt, what he could do, how far he could go. He could do as much as he damn well pleased. He rubbed his arms, feeling a wave of cold air. "There so confusing, I hate it so much" He mumbled looking down to the ground. He was chilling out again. He didn't want to yell, he hated yelling. Shane used to do it enough, so did Abigail. He especially didn't want to yell at Reid.

Reid was silent. There really was no legitimate answer to either of Caleb’s questions-- at least, figuring that he’d used ‘just because’ or ‘because you’re intoxicated’ many times before, surely Caleb understood his reasoning. “Because, I just…because.” Damn, defeated still. He’d sound much more intelligent and convincing if he’d just kept his mouth shut-- which Is rather ironic, if you think about it. Either way, Reid already regretted speaking, so he simply curled himself more and buried his face into his knees once more. “Because it’s not true, Caleb! You’ve been drinking, first off,” he started, straightening up and using his fingers to name off reasons. “Second, you’ve just met me, I can be some crazy pedophile for all you know.” His second finger went up, and he stared dead-on at Caleb once more. “Third, just BECAUSE,” he said, returning to his huddled position. Reid’s reasons weren’t exactly top notch, but he understood them clearly. “People just don’t like me like that. I’m the friend that everyone goes to when they need a good laugh. I’m just not thought of romantically, it’s almost a funny thought to most,” Reid responded, voice very low, head dropped still in his legs. Of course, little did he know, but still.
Caleb didn’t seem to find his reasoning appropriate, because he pressed on, this time actually nearly yelling at the smaller male. Reid wanted to scoot away, oddly afraid that he’d start throwing things at him. Truthfully, he knew that he wouldn’t, but his heart was racing so quickly it was almost unbearable-- he was surprised Caleb couldn’t hear it in the near silence. Or, maybe it was actually really loud, and only Reid’s mind was fogged too much that the only sounds would be their breathing, the pounding of his calming headache, and the frantic beating of his heart. Either way, Reid didn’t want to think any further. And fortunately, he didn’t have to. Caleb’s soft continuation caused Reid to cringe softly and curl himself tighter. For a moment. “It’s not confusing, you’re just wrong.” Probably wasn’t the nicest thing to say-- or the proper, right thing to say, but it just slipped out. Reid had that problem at time. He was intelligent, sure, but he lacked self-control when it came to his words. He was brutally honest and he couldn’t help it.
“You’re wrong,” he mumbled once more, uncurling slightly to lean his head on the other boy’s shoulder. Reid found an odd, inappropriate comfort there, but he wasn’t about to move. It was a strictly friendly gesture, and his headache was beginning to disappear from his temples finally. Grey eyes were still shut tightly and he soon found himself curled up once more, lips pursed carefully. Reid inhaled the camp air deeply, catching a bit of the alcohol’s scent clinging to either of their clothes, a bit of cigarette smoke meshed in somewhere as well. Making a face, he straightened up and scrambled to his feet-- he was far too restless and distraught to dream of sitting still for too long, especially when the night was so still as well, only the soft breeze brushing past them. It was peaceful, yet Reid felt everything but that.

Reid seemed to having trouble coming up with an answer to his question. Why couldn't Caleb be free to like who he wanted? Everything he was doing felt wrong when he was with Reid. Reid seemed right, and all Caleb's thoughts were wrong. why was he feeling like this. The boy was so keen on telling Caleb he was wrong, that he might be ignoring his own feelings? Caleb couldn't judge that himself. But he hadn't once heard how Reid felt about Caleb. Reid seemed to be avoiding that.
“Second, you’ve just met me, I can be some crazy pedophile for all you know.” Caleb couldn't help but laugh. He defiantly knew this wasn't true. "Your way to sweet to be some pedophile. And I know I just met you but...I just feel something." He mumbled the last part, playing ith his finger nails. He wasn't sure about this feeling, and it wasn't helping him at all right now, but he knew it was good, in some way...It was good.
“It’s not confusing, you’re just wrong.” wow, the boy is telling him he's wrong. Reid, is telling Caleb that the way he feels is wrong. What he said brought back the worst feeling in his life. his mother said he was wrong, nothing he did was right. Shane said he was worthless and everything he did meant nothing. His sister said he was wrong, they would be stuck in that hell hole forever. Caleb bit his lip hard, almost hard enough to make it bleed, but it didn't. the bite helped control the hot feeling he had in his eyes.
"Maybe I am. i've been wrong about everything my whole life. why would it be any different now." He said feling the boys head on his shoulder. Then Reid quickly stood up. So did Caleb, he leaned agaisnt the tree and crossed his arms. "Everyone...expects their right. It's just a human feeling, but...I know im always wrong. Everything I do, everything i've done is wrong." He said looking at the ground and kicking a rock. "I have some kind of feeling for you Reid. I think I like you, but hey, im probably wrong, you said yuorself, and so does everyone else" He said looking at Reid for a minute with his soft eyes. He held back the hot tars he felt in his eyes. Crying would be the worst possible thing right now, it was jsut his Bi-Polarness again.
